I have never had such a good experience with a computer merchant before. They called to let me know they recieved my order, but it will delayed and if that is acceptable. They emailed me to tell me they are working on my order. They assigned one person to track my order and keep me up to date. They emailed me with updates, to find out how my laptop works, to remind me where to call if I need tech support. I called for tech support and they answered the question right off the bat. No bs like...did you turn on the computer? They speak english. I also like that their business hours are 8:30am to 8:30pm, regardless of the which cost you call from. I have owned three other laptops and I wish I had found these people first, although my Sony was fantastic, but they just do not make them in the specs that I need. My sager laptop works great and is extremely well made. I thought buying from a department store made a difference, but alas they send their computers out for service. So i figured I would just cut the middle man out. So far, so good. Thank you.

Great product at a great price.
Have recommended them to friends, and would not hesitate to do business with them again.
The kicker is that their service is second to none, which is extremely rare in a merchant offering such low prices.

PowerNotebooks.com is professional and very friendly. It is no wonder that they have a near-perfect record.
I was looking for a desktop-replacement/gaming laptop. There aren't much choices of stores or (good) variety of computers to buy in Hawaii. As I was doing research, I stumbled on a post in a forum that recommended Sager over other brand-names. I looked up online sites that sold Sagers, and I found PowerNotebooks.com.
At first, I was skeptical of a small website that sold computers that had names I never heard of. A few hours after I sent my order, Donald called my (noisy) house to confirm my order. It was ~7:30PM on my clock, so it must have been 10:30PM where he was! Now that is some respectable dedication.
A few days later, Charlotte called me to clarify the institution of the credit card used. She had warned me that there was a backlog of orders, but she was thoughtful of noting I would start school in a few weeks. If I did not receive any updates by the following Thursday, Charlotte asked me to contact them back. To my joy and surprise, the order came to my door that next Thursday.
Though my friends may not be inclined to purchase a powerful gaming laptop, I've told them where to go to if they are interested. By the time the 3-year warranty expires, I'll be hoping PowerNotebooks.com will still be in business, so I can purchase another high-end laptop.

The amount of attention and support that PowerNotebooks gives to its customers is amazing and completely unparalleled in the business. Two of their employees helped me feel confident that I was choosing the right computer and then bent over backwards to get it shipped to me on time for college. Easily the most painless (and cost-effective) purchase I've made for a PC, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I ordered a Crown notebook to serve as my primary computer during graduate school. There was some delay in getting the computer due to backorders and things but the company kept me informed of the progress and the delay was only about 3 weeks or so. I'm quite pleased with the computer, everything is working fine and I'm sure it will meet all my needs during school.

I ordered the Sager NP5796 from Powernotebooks.com and I must say that they have definitely gained a customer for life. They were very knowledgable with the product they were selling and was also very patient as I bombarded them with questions. They definitely value all of their customers and respect all their questions. They were with me every step of the way, from the ordering, to the shipping, and also asked me how the laptop was after i received it! Their customer support was also amazing, they didnt leave me with any half-answered questions and helped me resolve all my issues very quickly and efficiently (one of my RAM sticks was defected), they immediately contacted Sager and had them ship me a new stick of RAM. Great Service, Great Company, Very Satisfied. WooT WooT.

Just bought one of the new Sager NP5796 laptops from powernotebooks.com, and I'm tremendously impressed. Great customer service, very pleasant and knowledgeable salespeople, and the computer is flawless. Fantastic pricing, as well.
I'll never buy from a mainstream reseller again!

Excellent and superior customer service: took the time to find out exactly what I use and need, then made suggestions based on my personal interests. I bought 2 laptops at the same time; 1 for my husband and myself. We have experienced minor problems with each, but have had no trouble getting hold of tech support and/or the sales rep to get issues resolved. Fast, friendly support and absolutely no hassles. I would buy again. I have recommended to all my friends and family. If you need a laptop, this is the place to do business.

PowerNotebooks was recommended to me by one of my fellow inspectors. We use our laptops extensively, and depend on them for our livelyhood on the road all over the country for generating reports, storing codes for refinery inspections, storing and enhancing photos, personal and business email correspondence, and personal and business bookkeeping and finance tracking, as well as our contacts.
I really appreciate the way that I was dealt with. Donald Stratton, my sales rep, was most helpful, and took the time to explain anything that I was unclear about. He kept me well informed of the progress of my order during the brief wait for my computer to be delivered. It was delivered right on time, with everything necessary for me to get up and running again with a minimum of effort. I've had several of my fellow inspectors inquire about my laptop since I had received it. The black cabinet is eyecatching, and very handsome indeed. This was a bonus for me, because I was mainly interested in functionality, and dependability. The 3 year parts and labor warranty, and the 24 hour tech support were a welcome relief for me. There was only one minor issue that I had with it; there were only 3 USB ports and they were all located on the front right corner of the cabinet adjacent to the DVD burner door. This can be problimatic when burning a lot of discs and using external hard drives which I have to do. However, it can be worked around with an extension and additional USB jacks. The other pluses more than make up for this small item.
I'm glad that I invested in a PowerNotebook. One more thing. I didn't get a hard drive loaded with a bunch of useless trial programs and popups that drive you nuts trying to get them uninstalled completely, and I particularly liked that. Donald and I discussed my software needs and wants, and I received exactly what we discussed. It was a pleasure dealing with Donald, and I am enjoying my PowerPro Notebook.

Decide to go with powernotebooks.com because of their excellent resellerrating.com rating. Instead of ordering online I decided to call the order in because I had some questions. One ring. I get a live receptionist! We spent a few minutes talking about the "weather" then she transferred me to Donald. The laptop is for my son when he goes to art college, so I wanted to make sure he got what he needed. Donald was most helpful. We received the the laptop when they said we would! The Laptop is great! So is the warranty...3 years parts and labor on the PowerPro P 12:15. This spec would have cost several hundreds of dollars more elsewhere. Customer service and products are Outstanding!
We'll be back again!

Unbeatable customer service -- from the owner of the company no less who dealt with me personally. I am active duty military and in the middle of a PCS Donald ensured I would get my laptop in time to travel with me. Not to mention that I got a top of the line notebook, customized with WIndows XP, and a 3 year warranty. Would order again from them in a heartbeat!

Ordered a Sager NP5796 notebook computer from Powernotebooks.com 07/24/08. The order was a little unusual in that Powernotebooks wanted the entire amount wired to them before they would confirm the order. I was apprehensive about this even though Sager and Powernotebooks both check OK with the Better Business Bureau. In this case my apprehension was unjustified. The evening of July 24 I received a ship date of July 29. The computer actually shipped just before or just after midnight (morning of 29th) with the correct notification on July 29. Sager is in the LA area and I am in NC. The computer arrived by UPS the afternoon of August 1. I was impressed.
The 17" notebook computer has the latest components including a P9500 45nm Intel processor, 4GB DDR3 memory, a 9800M GT NVidia Video card and a 320GB 7200 RPM hard drive. Dell or HP probably will not have a computer like this available for weeks.
The fit and finish are excellent. The computer fired up and ran error free using the preinstalled Vista 64 bit OS. I have had no problem with the computer as delivered.
When I tried to install XP 32 bit to make the computer a dual boot system I did find that I had to install Vista 64 bit in partition C and then move the content of this partition because of what seems to be an addressing problem in the video card driver. This was not due to any hardware problem but a driver problem. I found the workaround in less than a day. Sager is aware of the problem.
I have called Sager support with a technical question 3 times and all 3 times a real technician answered within a minute. Each of the 3 technicians seemed courteous and competent. During the ordering process my Powernotebook representative answered every email within a few hours and actually followed up after delivery to check if everything was OK.
After having the computer for 5 days I am completely satisfied and expect my satisfaction will continue. I recommend these companies.
I will follow up this review as soon as I find fault with the hardware, supplied software or service.
