Great online shopping experience

I purchased two pairs of shoes from White House Black Market right before the Christmas holiday. I expected they might be delayed due to the holiday rush of shoppers, but was very pleased to receive them right on time. The outer packaging protected the shoes from damage during shipment and even the way the shoes were boxed was impressive--each individual shoe was in a black fabric bag and there was tissue packed around the shoes to keep them from moving within the box--seriously some of the best packaging of a product I've seen. I love the bags they came in and plan to reuse them to keep the shoes clean and free from scuffs and other damage when I store them, especially the rhinestone-studded shoes. I would definitely order from WHBM again.

Mostly satisfied with what I ordered

I ordered a Waterford Christmas ornament and a basket of fruit, cookies and candy as a gift for my mom and dad. The packaging was good and nothing arrived damaged or broken. The ornament arrived a couple of days prior to the requested delivery date and the basket arrived a day later than the requested date but both were here in time for Christmas Eve, which was my intent, so no real issue there. I was disappointed in the quality of the ornament as it didn't look as nice as it appeared online and definitely didn't seem to be worth what I paid for it. Basically, you're paying for the Waterford name. The box it came in was nicely done but the ornament itself was cheap looking and quite honestly I have ornaments on our tree that were 1/10th the cost and look just as good. I was hoping for something more upscale like my Swarovski ornaments. The food basket was nice although being packaged up in shrink wrap it doesn't look like the picture (which I knew, having received this type of gift in the past) but I suppose you could have it delivered, unpack it and arrange it yourself before you give it to someone. I purchased the deal that gives me free shipping for the next year since the cost of that was close to the shipping charges of the two items so it was a wash on this order and will save me money if I order again. Most of the time, it's the high cost of shipping that makes me reluctant to order from these types of merchants. I would probably order flowers or gift baskets again from 1800flowers but would hesitate to order merchandise like the ornament again.

Beautiful lingerie and great customer service

I have purchased many lingerie items from Soma since September 2015, when I placed my first order with them (I have also since visited one of their boutiques). Soma is pricey if you purchase items at full price; I usually wait for sales, which makes their clothing and lingerie a better value. Their lingerie is beautiful and I have had very few problems with the quality, fit and style of the items I have ordered. Shipping is also very fast. What I truly appreciate is their customer service team. I have contacted them at all hours, and I always get a speedy response and they are very quick to resolve any issues to my complete satisfaction. In my opinion, that is what truly sets them apart--you have many stores and websites to choose from when ordering this type of merchandise, and in some cases, you might even find better prices, but it is the customer service that sets Soma apart. They also have a loyalty program that turns your purchases into points that are converted into coupons that can be used in conjunction with any sales they have going on. I highly recommend Soma.

A great company to work with! I ordered a PowerPro M 5:6 Elite laptop on 8/18. I was contacted by Ron Baird that same day to review my order and to let me know that there would be a delay in shipping since the "bare bones" unit was backordered from their vendor. I told Ron it wasn't a problem, but to keep me posted as to when I could expect to receive it. He said he'd contact me on 9/1 with an update, which he did. A small glitch with my credit card company was quickly resolved due to the excellent follow-up by the sales staff, and the computer shipped when Ron said it would (9/10), and arrived even sooner (9/13) because they provided 2-day shipping at no extra cost. Ron has been extremely helpful and courteous, making sure I'm happy with my new system, and responding to all of my emails in a matter of hours. And the computer is a beauty! Powerful, fast, sleek, with no extra junk software bogging it down. I love it! If you're in the market for a new laptop, this is the company to go to. Great computers and outstanding customer service! I highly recommend them.

Bought a Canon CP-200 photo printer. Easy ordering, good price, no tax and no shipping. I received an email asking for a confirmation call on my order, but no hard sell on other items when I called. Just one question as to whether I wanted the ink/paper kit, and when I explained I got it for less at another store, the rep was very nice, even congratulating me on such a good price, and finished up the details of the order in a timely and efficient manner. I was told when the product would ship and when I could expect to receive it, and received tracking information about a day later. Got the package, safe and sound today--could've used a little more cushioning in the box to keep it from moving around, but not really an issue since the packing in the Canon box itself had the printer well protected. The only glitch was that Fed Ex had to redeliver 3 times before I was able to be home to sign for it--I should've asked the rep if a signature release was possible. I'll keep that in mind for next time, since I would definitely do business with this store again.

This was a very positive experience. I placed an order for an Optura Xi videocamera and over $400 worth of accessories with B&H on Thurs. 6/17. I put the order under my sister's name and address and charged it to her credit card (to avoid confusion and processing delays due to different billing/shipping addresses) because she lives in NJ and it saved me a significant amount of money on sales tax. Therefore, B&H called her for verification and left a message for her on Fri. 6/18 (as I expected they would). Initially, it appeared they didn't get her return call which she made the same day because they left another message on Sun. asking for the same information. However, when I followed up on Mon. 6/21, I was told that the verification department had received her message and the order was being shipped that day. It arrived at her house on Tues. 6/22, less than a week after I placed the order, and sis brought it to me the next day! I'm always apprehensive when I make a purchase this large online, particularly after reading some of the terrible things that people have gone through with various stores rated here. But I have to say that my experience with B&H was nothing but positive. The site is well-organized and informative (I really like those photo lessons), the order was easy to place, the verification dept. did their job, and my package arrived well packed, with everything safe and intact, and even included all the applicable rebate forms. The one phone call I placed to them was answered promptly (less than 5 mins. on hold) and my questions were answered quickly and courteously. I should note as well that I directed several emails to Abe in the consumer video department throughout this process, asking various questions about the camera and acessories, and even sought his advice and recommendations on the type of mic and bracket I should consider. He got back to me within 24 hours on each email, answered all my questions, and was very helpful. B&H was not the least expensive store to purchase this camera, but they were the least expensive REPUTABLE store I found. The peace of mind you gain from knowing you'll get everything as expected and as promised is worth the few extra dollars, believe me. Although I didn't need to experience this myself, I was also impressed by B&H's fair return/exchange policies and their track record of resolving problems. That means a great deal when making a major purchase like this and definitely influenced my decision to buy from them. This was my first purchase with B&H, but if I'm ever in the market for photo/video equipment in the future, I won't hesitate to purchase from them again.
