“Service is fast, I have always received the proper components and quantities, and the prices are great for small or large quantities. My orders usually ship the day after order, and there's a 1-2 day transit time. I am in the northeast (a few hours from the bolt depot warehouse) so part of the convenience is due to my location.
I like that all components come bagged and tagged. The labeling is consistent and makes for an easy time going through a box with all different types and sizes of fasteners. The first time using Bolt Depot I did not know what to expect, and I was presently surprised by their packaging and labeling system.
I have since recommended Bolt Depot to others and have made business purchases through my current job. However, in regards to business purchases, we do get better prices on large quantity orders for common components from a local supplier. If we need a variety of less common fasteners however, Bolt Depot is the way to go.
My only suggestions for improvement would be to (slightly) expand products offered, specifically for metric fasteners.
I like the experience of shopping with Bolt Depot and would surely enjoy making both personal and business purchases in the future.”
“First off, my experience with Newegg was excellent. I ordered a bunch of parts to build a computer. This was my first build, and also my first purchase from Newegg. I ordered a computer case, power supply, processor, hard drive, DVD drive, motherboard, memory, a video card, cooling fans, thermal paste, and a CPU heatsink. The prices were FAR lower than anywhere else. I actually found similar parts on other websites and found that I would have paid over $100 more if I didn't shop at Newegg.
I definitely saved money at Newegg, and the shipping was great. I paid under $40 for 3 day shipping. Everything I ordered shipped the next day (I ordered at 8 PM) and I received them within 3 business days. I got my parts, and assembled my computer. This is where I ran into some problems. I ordered a LITEON SATA DVD drive, and it kept making my computer fail POST, which didn't allow the computer to boot. 2GB of the RAM I ordered was also defective. I called up Newegg, and they RMA'd the DVD drive and RAM. Oh, and they paid for the return shipping. The customer support was EXCELLENT, and every person I talked to was either American, or at least VERY fluent in English. I returned my defective parts and promptly had the money returned to my checking account.
I have yet to get a replacement DVD drive, but I'm sure I will buy it from Newegg when I decide to do so.”
