"On 2/12/24 my wife and purchased a 2021 Tundra limited. Paid over $47K out the door. My wife initially smelled something weird in the Tundra. I thought it was the old floor mats. Took floor mats out and you provided all weather mats. Last week your service dept. worked to get the windshield washer working and repair/replace a hose and fix the AC drain. Note that I wanted for 5 hours for repairs to be completed. Once I left Vero Toyota I wanted to wait a few days to monitor repairs. This morning there was mist on the windshield, very normal for Florida however the mist was on the INSIDE windshield. The carpet on the passenger side is soaked (blue Fluid) all windows were closed, and the drivers side carpet is damp. I cannot tell you how upset I am. How long has this vehicle been on the lot? Your certified process evidently no one checked the windshield washer. Is there rust not hitting the metal with windshield fluid constantly on it? You don't know has this been on a lift to verify, probably not.
I am allergic to mold has anyone checked for that?
I have been down to Toyota Vero three times now. Which is about 50 miles from Palm Bay. It is a fill up for me each time. Not to mention what is my time worth. I am on social security. This is a lot of money for me.
As I stated previously, my first vehicle was a 1971 Toyota Corona which I paid with $800. from U.S. Savings Bonds I saved while on my Destroyer. have had purchased new 2006 RAV4 and a 2008 Rav4, I bought a new 2012 Toyota tundra that I just sold to a neighbor that I have been driving for 12 years, My wife bought a new 2009 RX-350, and now I have the 2021 Tundra Limited. My Loyalty with Toyota can't be questioned.
I am a 69 year old Vietnam Navy Vet. When I got off active duty and went into the Navy Reserves my unit went to Japan for 4 years in a row. I have witnessed first hand The Toyota Way and implemented the quality focus when I managed the Coors Can Plant in Golden Colorado for two years, as well as Waste Management other mini careers and saved the companies millions.
Toyota Has to make this right. I am prepared to drop the vehicle off this week and leave it with you. You must check for body rust both inside and outside. Perhaps you need to remove and replace the carpet I do not know. I will need a rental that to be fair I think you should pay for. Keep the truck as long as you need to get it done right.
Gentlemen I love the truck. This is probably the last vehicle I will own. I don't want to pick the truck up and it gets me sick with the mold or continues to have fluid in the cab. What is this fluid damaging electrical components behind the dash as the windshield is wet? As we said in the Navy please do not slack with the repairs. This could also be a major health issue.
I will do everything I can to work with you in good faith. I rather do that than seek an attorney.
Please do the right thing here.
Initially Matt Harding has been my contact point,
Sincerely,
Robert L Stise
