"It's was nice gifts card thanks"
"I'm feeling that I was duped too. I had a gift certificate order for Amazon.com that has been on backorder since May 2009. I have been looking all over the internet for others that have been scammed too and this is the first place that I have found. It seems that once upon a time, this company may have been legit but I'm hoping to get the word out that they are ones to avoid."
"I received from my employer a $1000 award which was payable thru 1800 gift certificate. I cashed in $750 of the award and received gift certificates for various merchants. On March 16, 2009 I submitted a request for the remaining $250 for a gift certificate from Macys. I have called repeatedly for the status of my order and have been given the run around. I have called, emailed and to no avail. Customer service representatives would tell me that the gift certificates I wanted were on back order. I then said I would accept any cards for any merchant that was on hand. The customer representative then informed me that all gift certificates were on back order. My last call was on August 10th when I inquired on the the status of my order, I was told I would be informed of the status in a letter which will be mailed later this month. I asked the rep to tell me on the phone which she again stated that the status will be in the letter.
What kind of customer service is this - an order not fulfilled since March 16th and the rep is unable to discuss the status. DO NOT order from this company!!!!! If my experience is any indication of their 'customer service', save yourself the aggravation and utilize a reputable company because this company is a "LOSER"."
"On my 25th company anniversary I received a gift certificate from 800giftcertificates.com. I went to the website and looked around and noticed that they offered gift certificates from other vendors like, Cruchfield and Amazon. They also offered lots of WAY over priced merchandise so I decided to convert my certificate with them to 5 other certificates, one from Amazon, and several from restaurant vendors.
When I first tried to put in the order it seemed like none of the vendors I wanted to get certificates from were available. Finally after going back and back to the website I was able to get what I wanted. When I put in the order on June 1, 2009 it say to allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery???!!! So I waited patiently and after a month....nothing. Called, emailed, got the run around. Waited another month, nothing. Called, emailed, got the run around.
Still to this day have nothing from these losers. I have come to the conclusion that they really don't want to fulfill gift certificate orders because they don't make any money on those. Oh they offer them, so that they can go to companies like mine and say, "look at all the stuff we offer". But they want you to choose from the limited list of ridiculously over priced merchandise they offer, which they probably make a fortune on.
If anyone is considering using these guys...think again. You'd be better off just getting an American Express gift card for someone then using these losers.
Update 8/14/2009
Still haven't received anything from these guys. I'm beginning to believe that they are "upside down" on cash flow and are basically robbing Peter to pay Paul. They can't fulfill their orders until somebody sends them more money which they are using to fulfill older orders. I'm not sure where I am on that back log but it could be a very long time before I see anything...if in fact I ever do."
