"Horrible, horrible, horrible. I placed an order on a Thursday afternoon w/ overnight Shipping. They emailed me shortly after saying they could get it to me on Saturday or Monday. I responded, Saturday would be great but need it my Monday at the latest. All day Monday, I have been contacting them trying to get a tracking number or an update. They kept saying that they are trying to get in touch with the manufacturer.
At 3:50PM, they contacted me saying that its sitting with the manufacturer and I will receive it 'tomorrow'. A HUGE inconvenience for me, but I said fine but refund me the overnight shipping I paid for. his response was "you can cancel the order".
NO, I am not getting the service that I paid for, that is THEIR problem, not mine. We agreed on terms when the order was placed and they failed to meet those terms, but want to give me a hard time to fix it and have me, the customer deal with their failure.
This is the textbook, #1 way lose a customer. "

"Bought a new Technivorm coffee maker.
It arrived with a plastic part broken off. That might have happened in transit, but one of the parts was dusty, which was kind of suspcious.
Called, and said they would get back to me, which they didn't.
Asked again for a return label, got that.
After return shipment was complete, they did nothing. It took two more requests and I think I got a refund.
But clearly buying from them in the first place was a big mistake.

The unit turns out to be defective and not up to espresso standard in terms of coffee quality and there is no fix to the issue.
Tried returning it to 1st in coffee and was told I need to pay for return shipping.
Since the machine is defective, I do not believe I should pay return shipping and after discussing the matter further with the owner (one man operation), he hung up on me.

I purchased a refurbished high-end espresso maker from the website. The order went through without an issue and I received an email receipt. I didn't see any tracking information so I called the company a few days later. A real person answered the phone right away and when I explained the issue, they apologized that there was no tracking information and provided it to me.
PRODUCT:
The espresso machine arrived on time and in great condition. I can't find any flaws with it at all and it works like a brand new unit. It also shipped with a filter and cleaning tablets which was a nice surprise. The only downside is that there was no manual included with the machine. But for the price that I got this thing, I don't mind printing one off from the manufacturer page at all."
"Bought my first super machine about 10 years ago. It died, so I needed to replace my Jura. Called James and upgraded the Jura, paid for 1-day shipping. The machine didn't work. Called James. He sent out another machine without asking for the return first and sent it 1-day shipping!
Second machine didn't work for a different reason. Called James. Again, he sent a replacement, no questions, even paid for 1-day shipping again!
That machine didn't work! We talked for a few minutes about the issue. James sent a third machine! Again, no questions. This machine works great! James called a few days later to ask how things were going!-- and thanked me for working with him!
That customer focus is rare if not unheard of. Complete professional and customer focused. This company has a dedicated customer for life! Thanks James.

We purchased a high end refurb unit - very expensive - Jura unit from him - - He wants you to believe he is polite and offers customer service, however if your machine doesn't work, he shirks all responsibility and tells you he will do nothing for you and refers you to the manufacturer. He is purely in this for a quick profit and doesn't care if he is selling faulty machines. We cannot even use the unit we purchased from him - it is completely unusable after all of the money we spent on it. We are SO REGRETFUL for ever doing business with him. Don't make the same mistake. "Ordered my Christmas present, a Capresso MT500, for $99.99. Got a call later that day that the MT500 wasn't available but they did have the MT500 Plus (additional $10). They told me they would send the 500 Plus at no additional charge. Arrived in a few days (free shipping also). "In December purchased a Capresso MT 500 coffee maker from 1st in Coffee for $99.98. A few days later I saw that JR.com had the same Capresso MT 500 listed at $79.99 with free shipping as well. Since 1st in Coffee boasts they have the "LOWEST PRICE GUARANTEED!" I brought it to their attention. Repeated emails to 1st in Coffee were ignored so I called them. I was told in no uncertain terms that they will not honor their lowest price guarantee. My only recourse would be to ship the Capresso MT500 back for a refund, less shipping costs.
So after the dust settles, I'd be out of pocket $28.45 for all my effort. What kind of guarantee is that?
Now when I pour my morning coffee, I'm reminded of how duplicitous 1st in Coffee is.

"From the start, this company turned out to be a joke. This guy must work from his house as he answers the telephone at all hours and then complains that you called so late. I purchased a refurbished item. It came in to me straight from another persons return. The return label from the other person was still on my box in a box. Inside was a mess. Coffee grounds everywhere. Dented item. They never looked inside to see what they were even sending me. The just reboxed and sent me a return without refurbishing or even cleaning it. Completely unprofessional and I would never use them again. When approached via email, they couldn't even find my order stating they have no order from me. What a mess of a company.
