He gave me credit for the dead player and sent the replacement to me in two days! I recommend calling them and asking advice BEFORE buying electronics. They are knowledgeable and helpful. "I ordered a new Sony BDP-6500 and my invoice reflected this. I was however sent a different model, the Sony BDP-6700. While this may be a more recent model, it did not offer me the ability to rip my SACD's . When I contacted the company I was told that the 6500 is no longer available and could not be supplied.
The seller should have informed me prior to shipping that the model to be delivered was not what I ordered.
I had already paid $125 for shipping plus another $70 for local VAT and import duties. Sending it back was not worthwhile. I was given a paltry $50 refund."

"Local business is having a hard time. Selling to one-time customers who move abroad is a hard business to maintain even in the best of times. After all, people who move out of their home country do it typically once in a lifetime (of those few who actually do). On to of that, once a customer has moved out, shipping becomes a prohibitive expense so any problem with a product will usually mean a death sentence for that product since the cost of shipping it back and shipping out a replacement are astronomical. So when my Braun blender stick died after a single use (strange, I know) I couldn't really blame Nick at 220-electronics when he told me that they don't pay for shipping and the best they can do is offer me a second product at 50% off. That too wasn't really a solution since shipping that one product out to Israel would cost as much as the first product. This would mean that I had to spend 250% the cost of the original to have one working blender in my hand. I looked around and found a service center in Israel. Of course, the local importer wouldn't honor the warranty (although Braun enjoys global distribution, their warranty model doesn't - hint). But when I told Nick about the cost to replace the engine (roughly as much as the cost of the original blender (everything wors in multiples of the original cost for some reason) he immediately agreed to share the repair cost with me. So yeah, I still ended up paying 150% of the original but I got 2 blenders and avoided the shipping time and cost - which isn't a bad deal. I felt he did the best considering the circumstances and he revealed the humanity in a cut-throat business that is anything but humane. And yeah, it's only a hand blender but the gesture was unusual enough for me to feel it. Thank you, Nick. Thank you 220-electronics. If you have to move out of the U.S. to a 220V country, get your appliances there!"

"I bought a 5500W converter and less 18 months later it triggered the fuse, and is no longer working.
Now 220-electronic wants me to ship it back (at my expense), and then they will fix, and ship to me, again at my expense. IT COSTS US100 (twice) to do that, which is more than the cost of the converter.
They even had the audacity to suggest I could just buy a new one, and only pay for the unit and shipping - then I wouldn't have to ship the broken one back..
I have actually bought 4 converters from 220-electronic, and have even advised other people to so also... NEVER AGAIN.
