"I initially planned on buying from Wal-Mart, but my friend told me about this site. I wasn't
sold a hundred percent though, so I checked around in Wal-Mart first. The woman there told me there were $9 glasses and I thought 'Cool, that's nice and cheap.' There was a good amount of different frames, and searching and looking through them was very easy. "Got some sunglasses and chose the largest RayBan style knock off frames. The frames were much smaller than expected. Also there are no nose pads so the cross piece of the frame sits right on my nose and presses up against my forehead so they are very uncomfortable. I might contact them and see if they will replace them but I guess I should have gone with my local glass place instead even though they were twice the price."

"At my optician's shop, I was told my glasses prescription would be $650 because I need prism lenses. Friend of mine recommended 39DG. I ended up spending $89 with the small upcharge for the complicated prescription. And they are perfect. Shipped fast. And I really liked the ability to check the status on the 39DG site with detailed descriptions of what was happening at each stage of the process. Plus I got $13 toward my next pair just for ordering and for tweeting a pic of my new glasses."

"I have not received the REDO copy, but expect they will be GREAT. However, '39's' instructions for ORDERING single vision COMPUTER glasses are confusing - to me. '39' gives specific instruction on how to calculate values for COMPUTER glasses.

I did that - calculated values - BUT, then they also asked for 'PRESCRIPTION' values, which I also provided. '39' ignored my calculated values - and 'calculated' their own values for COMPUTER based on the PRESCRIPTION values - and produced a lenses that had 4 times the desired magnification.

They have acknowledged their mistake and REMADE the glasses - properly - I hope - they are in the mail and I write.

"The Portland glasses i ordered, one of the plastic arms (left one) seems bent and it was very difficult to open it, because the hinge was not aligned correctly when manufacturing the frame, I bring it to my local glasses retailer to fix it, but at the end they can´t fix it, so I bough a similar frame to reuse the lenses.
The other titanium frame glass was awesome, very light and comfortable.
