"Asked for a few sample lenses for product design and development. I was told samples are not available and I will have to buy them through their website... Nope. I guess they will not be getting our company's business (would have been recurring thousands of units per yr). I contacted a few other lens manufacturers in China and the US and they are sending me plenty of samples for product design.

"I ordered two F330 Fresnel lenses for my Lumenlab DIY projector on September 19th, 2006. They shipped out the following day, September 20th. The lenses arrived at my house about 10 days later (not bad for Taiwan to Michigan), but somewhere along the way, the package had been crushed and both lenses were cracked slightly.

I contacted 3DLens via email and showed them two pictures I had taken of the damage. They replied saying that they would send two new lenses right away, but would I first destroy the cracked ones and send photographic proof. I complied, and honestly it felt kinda good to smash them. :)

So another 9 days later, I received the new lenses, padded slightly better this time, and perfectly intact.

Apparently, they used to send their lenses in some kind of wooden frame for safety (or so I hear). I guess they are moving away from that practice now. Seems to me that if they had padded my lenses better the first time, there wouldn't have been a need for a second time.

Overall, though, I am satisfied with the products and service they offer, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality lenses."
