"Small local bodyboard shop in so-cal who carry the best brands and all products are high quality highly recommend shopping here!!"
"excelente lugar donde comprar"
"This shop has been a blessing for us. Its very hard to find a Bodyboard Shop dedicated to the sport of Bodyboarding. They care a lot about the sport and helping people get set up with the right gear! We have purchased many boards and fins through them throughout the years. I'm not sure why some people had such a bad experience, it does seem to be from years ago. I know the past owner Eddie Solomon was sick with cancer and then passed away in 2011. So maybe his illness was an issue. Anyways, his wife continues his legacy and everyone should check them out! They carry the top brands in the bodyboard industry. "
"I am not sure what happened with the below people. But I have been shopping with 662 ride shop for years and they have always taken very good care of my son. It's nice to have a local shop that supports the sport of bodyboarding. They are a small family business and I support them!"
"They are the worst when it comes to customer service. They have screwed up my order both times, I've ordered with them. Their website has problems too. I'd really try and buy somewhere else."
"be extra careful with these people! they tend to say "oh! we have the product in stock, you can order it from us" and when you do... you end up receiving something different from what you ordered or your package is incomplete, it happened to me and my brother in different times of the year and different orders. we are not sure which of the stores is the one making the mess, since as you may know there's one in HI, another in Australia, and a third one in California...the thing is that for example in my order I was supposed to receive a dvd that would have come along with my bodyboard order, which never did, and when I complained to them all they answerd was that I had to pay an extra of $5 for the dvd order, and "hey! why will I pay extra?? It's not my fault! you guys were sopposed to put the dvd together with my new bodyboard order!" I said to them, and in a very informal and disrespectful way they again told me that I have to pay the extra amount in order for me to get the dvd.well I just forgot about it and waited to put this review. Then, after some time had passed, my brother ordered a bodyboard and some other things to complete his gear for the year surf trip about to come. He only got the "other things" he ordered, never the board... then he complains and after a few days got a board different from the one he originally ordered!! he complains once more and to all this he has to be patient and wait for more days so that they can fix the order!! eventually they got the right board to his door!! but not after struggling for quite a while. I think these people should value their customers more. as the bodyboarding community is growing we are still not many out there..."
"My son purchased a VS 3/4 padded travel body board bag and he went to use it for the first time over Christmas on our trip to Hawaii and the main zipper pulled off. We emailed ECBB (East Coast Body Boarding, aka 662 Bodyboard Shop, aka Just Boady Boarding) stating that we'd like to return it for a refund and/or exchange it for a similar bag with a better quality or more durable zipper. Their customer service rep said they "can only give you a $20 store credit for the bag because the purchase was so long ago". The purchase was made only a few months prior, the bag had NEVER been used before, and we spent over $600 on their website!
I am extremely disappointed in their customer service and feel it is bad business to not stand behind a product that was so clearly defective."
