"Bad service to choose. I asked Customer service to honor the coupon they had offered and correct the pricing. They refused to do so and were condescending in their response, congratulating me on receiving a coupon, but unable to help apply."
"Don't bother shopping here if you are not in USA. I'm in Australia and I had bought from them several years ago without a problem, but this time my wife and I both had our orders rejected due to their "Fraud Checking" system which apparently marks all international cards as possible fraud."
"I bought a small pair of sandals which they shipped floating around with a square of tissue paper in a humongous oversized "recycled" box big enough to fit 3 cats in. (Approx. 10"x12"x15".) No shoe box, no packing materials, no envelope, no plastic bag, just the naked shoes themselves and a 6" square of tissue paper in the massive box.
The shoes did not fit at all and since they demand that you return items in the "original packaging", I ended up having to pay $15 to ship them back via FedEx Ground which also required a special trip to a FedEx office, since the daily Fedex pickup at my workplace does not include any Fedex Ground shipping. An hour of my life and $15 wasted. I'll never order from them again because of that.
I wish I had thought to look up reviews before wasting my money with them because I see that everyone else has had the same issues."
"I received a damaged package, in terrible shape and the shoes were missing. It was never left unattended. https://youtu.be/Epc_nDDf8Vw
After calling 6pm, I discovered that they show no regard for the customer and are quick to make false accusations, disregarding all facts. Continually asking me to wrongfully file a police crime report for 'theft of property' that never occurred. Now 6pm Ellie B. states they are "not able to respond to any further attempts to contact anyone". Instead of reaching out to make things right, they continue ignoring me while actively belittling public exposure. And to think how much money they spend on Brand Identity perception, seeing as the misconception of them having great customer relations seems prevalent.
I reached out to USPS (6pm neglected to do this) and described the situation in detail. They told me what likely occurred is that the item fell out during transit due to the damaged package. They stated fallouts do occur and advised that Zappos must file an insurance claim directly with them. I cannot file the claim as I did not create the shipment.
**DIRECT QUOTES from company including my responses they simply ignore**
[Ellie B. Wrote] "Our Terms of Use state that the “risk of loss and title for items purchased by you from 6pm pass to you upon our delivery of the items to the carrier.”"
(1.) Please provide video evidence that the items were delivered to the carrier. (2.) Regardless of your Terms of Use, you are NOT exempt from carrier damage/loss before delivery. That's what insurance is for. (3.) Your Terms of Use are deceptively incongruent with your advertised core values: "That "more" is providing the very best customer service, customer experience, and company culture.".
[Ellie B. Wrote] "If you do report the theft of your item to police, [] we will be able to move forward."
You are implying that you will override your Terms of Use if I provide a police crime report that CANNOT be filed. The police do NOT handle carrier issues. Again, I received the package immediately upon delivery. Besides, you refuse to answer how exactly you would "move forward" if I could produce a police report.
[Ellie B. Wrote] "We have reviewed our correspondence with you, and we did see that one of our team members said weight was confirmed at the time of delivery. While this is not technically correct"
While it's nice that you admit to at least one of your false statements, nothing has been done to rectify it and my refund is still being wrongfully withheld. When has a company issuing blatantly false statements been acceptably regarded as an insignificant oversight?
[6pm Wrote] "We can assure you that both items ordered were [] delivered to your shipping address."
How exactly can you assure me that both items were delivered to my shipping address?
[6pm Wrote] "Our records indicate that the package was delivered to your address and once a package is delivered, the matter is no longer a carrier issue."
How exactly is shipping damage/loss during transit not considered a carrier issue?
[Ellie B. Wrote] "After reading your responses and carefully reviewing your account, unfortunately, our position has not changed."
Allow me to recap: (1.) You have not provided evidence of the shoes being delivered to the carrier, nor my door. (2.) You are completely disregarding this situation due to a single order you screwed up on SEVERAL years ago. Providing only false accusations, no facts.
This is so disheartening to me. I do not like being falsely accused. I've always regarded the Zappos family very highly. But this experience is not in line with Zappos' "purpose", "to live and deliver WOW". Tony Hsieh would be ashamed!"
"I read that 6pm sells only authentic and non defective items, but after my last purchase, I have to ask myself "REALLY"??? I own three pairs of Birkenstock sandals, one pair of Birkenstock clogs. Every pair is a size 38 and good fit. For reference, I am a US 7.5 So,when I saw a pair of Birkenstock boots on sale at 6pm, I jumped at it. I never would have ordered if I was unsure of the size because of their return policy that does NOT include free shipping. But after owning FOUR pairs I was very confident. It was even noted "true to size." WELL... either these Birks were tagged wrong, and or they are defective. This boot was ENORMOUS!! I I estimate at LEAST two sizes larger than stated. I could have worn two pairs of thick socks and they still would have been BIG!!!
Needless to say, I returned them at a cost of nearly $18.00 out of pocket!!! Not Happy!!!

"I bought a pair of ASICS sneakers from 6 PM and it turned out they were not authentic they were knock offs I have two pairs of real a six and these were cheap invitations they should be reported to the attorney generals office and Better Business Bureau for selling fraudulent knock off’s"
"People! There are soooooo many bad reviews about 6PM on here because people are mad about paying for return shipping, but for most items you find on 6PM - just look them up on Amazon! They’re usually on there for the same price and sold by 6PM but come with free shipping and FREE RETURNS! There have been a few items I haven’t been able to find but mostly everything is on both sites since 6PM is technically owned by Amazon."
"Although 6pm may offer great deals, buyers should seriously consider their return policy before making a purchase. The customer is responsible for the shipping on returns and this can be a costly endeavor if the items don't meet expectations either by fit, comfort and/or description. I ordered three pairs of shoes that were not comfortable but in order to return them, I will have to pay the equivalent of one of the pairs of shoes! I now have to decide if I keep them and try to sell them myself either on letgo or ebay or pay to return them - the first solution is a gamble, the second is a loss of $45.00!! Either way, a lesson has been learned that purchasing from 6pm just isn't worth it to me."
"I really like your website but the returning part is the pits. It costs so much to return the shoes, so going forward I can only shop at the free return websites. Sorry 6pm. You have great prices but I just can’t gamble on the returns. It’s a hassle."
"I have ordered 3 pairs of five-fingers and paid by card but delivery never arrived to me. I warn everybody, do not order from 6pm.com"
"I recently ordered a pair of Teva sandals that were priced better than anyplace else.
They had a great selection of styles and colors as well as pricing. Shipping indicated is would be ground and could take up to 7-10 days but I received my order in 4 days.
I will definitely shop this site again."
"My fault for not realizing this is limits the only company that doesn’t offer free returns. I’ve now spent almost $20 in shipping and return shipping for shoes that didn’t fit. I guess i lucked out in the past by having the shoes I’ve bought fit. Will never shop here again. "
"I've purchased several items from 6pm over the years. No issues - sizing fine, no need for returns. But most recent order was a disappointing experience. Gorgeous boots, sale at $70.00 with free shipping but sizing so bizarre, they fit like a size and a 1/2 too small. Likely due to cheaper Asian manufacture and smaller sizing, an increasing common issue over the last few years, which makes it a crap shoot to figure out actual sizing.
I accept the risk that such purchases may require a return when I cannot try before I buy. BUT -- unlike Shoes.com (whom I've also used for years and offers paid shipping AND returns) -- 6pm requires the buyer to return at their own expense. I used original shipping and boot boxes; while weight was negligible, the large total shipping size ended up costing, via the cheapest option (USPS) - over 25 bucks.
6pm has lost a repeat customer. If they start offering to pay for returns, I may reconsider. "
"Ordered some shoes. Said they were shipped. Never arrived. Customer service is in the Philippines and they have the WORST phone connection there. Finally had to tell the credit card company to cancel the charges. Never will buy anything from them ever again. The shoes I tried to buy were also on Amazon for $15 more .... definitely worth the extra cost without the hassle from this low rent company. "
"Even if you're not in a hurry, 6pm's SOP apparently, is to take their sweet time in filling orders.
So say you order and select the free-shipping option, as I recently did and have in the past at times, they'll provide a shipping time estimate, in this case 3-5 business days.
Well, one would think that once ordered that the order is actually filled within a reasonable time frame, typically 24-hours EASILY, at least with honest and normal companies barring a backorder.
Not with 6pm though. Nope! They'll take their sweet time simply filling your order adding days to the shipping estimate rendering planning around the shipping info that they give impossible.
No worries though, they'll make sure that they don't miss a precious mili-second when charging your card though. They have to make sure that they've got your money despite the fact that they'll take their sweet time and then some to actually provide the service/product that they sell you.
As it stands, the expense for returns falls on the consumer. This nonsense has pushed me over the top and I will likely not ever order from 6pm.com again. "
