"I've done a number of projects via 99designs.com and have been far more than just pleasantly surprised by the results. While there's no doubt that you MUST "manage" each contest and provide feedback, the results I've gotten have been clean and professional and competitive . . . for a fraction of what I would have paid for a professional designer working directly with my firm. Additionally, the variety of entries served to help focus the project, and the ability to share design candidates with clients or via Facebook was huge in helping with the final decision. The only negative is that when I started, the pricing was literally half what it has become. This doubling of the cost was a turn-off and does make the site a slightly less competitive option."
