"Thank you. "
"I purchased a barcode reader and it was told it was a complete unit only to receive half of what was nessesary to work. Contacted merchant to try and resolve and was quoted their return policy which includes a 15%V fee and freight both ways. Merchant refuses to fix their problem. Beware!"
"I PURCHASED TWO OKIDATA 420 PRINTERS, WHICH I WAS TOLD WERE "IN STOCK" AND WOULD SHIP IN 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS. IT ACTUALLY TOOK 31 DAYS FOR THEM TO SHIP. ALSO ONE OF THEM WAS DOA. SINCE APR DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBERS, I'VE HAD A TERRIBLE TIME TRYING TO RETURN THE PRINTER."
"I purchased a pretty expensive LCD display panel (NEC LCD2690) from Advanced PC. They had the lowest price on the net and also offered free Fedex Ground shipping. I was a little nervous about placing an order with APC because there was not much feedback on them. Prior to ordering, I sent a message to the Customer Service link on their web site to find out if the item I wanted was actually in stock and available for immediate delivery. They promptly answered my email and said they had it in stock. I placed my order and received the monitor within 4 business days. I was extremely pleased, especially since I had previously tried to purchase this monitor from a much better known online shop only to find out it was unexpectedly out of stock. I would definitely order from APC again."
"*WARNING* This company is extremely shady.
After calling in because the price on pricegrabber did not match the price on their website, I was required to fill out a credit card authorization form and fax it in (big PITA for a web-based order!). I received our HP Color Laserjet 4700n a couple of weeks later in single layer cardboard box barely self-standing and no packing materials. The printer casing was cracked and water damage was all around. FedEx had note that they had received the package this way from the seller (not in the OEM packaging), but the seller denied this. The truth was never revealed but we did finally get sent a second printer in the original box after a huge hassle where Advance PC flat out told me they would only send me a new printer IF I wrote a good review for them on a review website!!
Now here almost four months later I'm finally left with no choice but to announce the undeniable truth.
They are scam artists.
I got a call from HP commercial rebates today saying that they had received my rebate AND a rebate filing from Advance PC FOR MY PRINTER! They said they had received tens of additional rebate submissions from Advance PC for their customer's products as well and that they were under investigation for fraud.
Advance PC claimed that their customers were notified up front that the price they were paying was "already rebated". This is completely false and I can prove it as I have every email and form I received from them in the process, and checking their website you will find no mention of this "feature" of theirs, either.
Stay FAR FAR away from this company - they play games with their customers and vendors to try and rip you and them off at every opportunity they get. They only respond to repeated threatening phone calls, and demand that IF they do the right thing, that you write a good review for them."
"I got a great price- My order came on time. Product is new and working fine
Very satisfy"
""I told my friends about this site because they have reasonably priced products. Also, they deliver on time. It's good to know that there are shopping sites that keep their word, all the way! " I will be back."
"I order an hp design jet 500. They gave me the lowest price wtih shipping from all other competitor.
They follow up with a tracking number.
It was a smooth trasaction for a very large item.
I will be back to Advanced P.C."
"I attempted to order a printer from APR. The first sign of trouble was that they had not processed my ordered by noon the day after I placed the order. Then , when I checked their website to see what was going on, I noticed that the total listed for the order was higher than the total on the web order confirmation page and the confirmation email. I called APR and asked them about the attempt to bill my credit card more than I authorized. They said the confirmation email included the rebate. The printer does have a rebate, and most other sites did reduce the advertised price by the rebate, but they also made specific mention of the rebate, and accurately represented the amount that would be charged on the credit card.
In the end, APR refused to honor the price in the confirmation email. I decided to allow them to keep the order in exchange for a price lower than I could probably get elsewhere, but still higher than their original offered and accepted price. They also offered me an discounted extended warranty, which I told them I had no interest in purchasing.
My intention at this point was to mark the situation to incompetence, and allow the order to happen. However, I begin to receive emails. First, were the emails again offering the extended warranty. Then were the emails saying that the address did not match the credit card. Then the emails telling me the credit card number was wrong. Now I order quite a bit online, and have never had these problems. After messing with the order for about 3 days, I asked them to cancel in an email. They said that I had to call a non-toll free number to cancel. At this point I assume malice, and recommend no one to order from them.
The pricing appears to be list. They misrepresent the price of the product, and refuse to honor the price agreed to on the confirmation page. They do not have an automated method to cancel a pending order. The emails do not come from an APR or advanced computers domain, but are listed as 'Computer store' and hosted through comcast. The emails seem not be from a single person, and are the rudest notes I have ever received from a customer service agent. Remember, I was nice. I let them renegotiate the price and did not threaten legal action.
I ordered the printer from another vendor. The price was about the same as the APR price. They had the ordered processed and ready for shipping by noon the next day. There are simply too many efficient vendors on the internet to mess with the ones that are just looking for a fast buck."
"Here is the email I received after 2 days, note that the original price was $167 and as of the email they hadn't changed the price on their website.
Hi,
Thanks for your order.
Unfortunately, Kingston has raised all prices, and we are
not avail to sell these item at the price shown, since we
ship from Kingston warehouse.
New Price : $ 209 each
They updated my order to the new price automatically instead of canceling it."
"I placed an order online on July 12, the item showed up instock, I went through the entire ordering process (and included a $33 handling charge because my order was under $5k). 2 days later I go to check on the status & it says denied - I called to see what that meant, customer service tells me the part is discontinued & they don't have any. I told him I didn't receive an email notifying me of this & when I placed the order online, it clearly said it was in stock. Don't waste your time with this company. "
"At first, I anadvertently ordered the wrong product - my fault. I contacted APR to switch order. They did no questions asked, but charged an $18 Handling Fee for it. I was informed it would arrive in 5-10 days from that point on Wednesday April 27. By my calendar, that means between Monday May 2, and Firday May 7. On Tuesday May 3, I asked for the tracking numbner to check the status of the shipment, I was informed it would be shipped the following day. Wednesday May 4, I asked for the tracking number again, now that it should have been shipped. I received the Read Receipt for that email at 11:32 EDT. 2.5 hours later no response. I sent a second email and this time got a response that the item was out of stock! This is something I should have been told when I made the order, or one of the other times I was in contact, such as when they said it would be shipped the next day! I demanded the order canceled, and my money refunded. "
