I upgraded the RAM to 16 gb, the harddrive to a 250 ssd, the network card, bluray, etc... Needless to say everything I'll be needing. My budget was $1,500. I did go a little over after taxes, but it was definitely worth it.

I ordered the laptop on June 11th, and I got it June 28th. I was amazed at how fast the laptop was assembled and shipped to me - being a custom build.

Many may rebuttal saying, "Well there are many other sites that do the same thing." Yes, very true. I did a little research before choosing AVADirect. When upgrading or downgrading parts, they charge basically market value of those parts. A little bit more, but its understandable because it is straying from their default design.

What I was impressed with most is their customer service. If I had a question, a representative always responded with a nice, informative response.

If you're going to order a custom laptop, AVADirect is the way to go.

"I bought a couple of workstations from AVA Direct recently and support from sales department was great. Given that I'm from Mexico City, we had to coordinate the shipping to a specific location where I could pick them up in a specific time frame.

They also helped me to choose the best option in terms of performance/price since I wouldn't be allowed to import the workstations if the price range was over certain limit.

Finally, the packages were perfect even after flying back (no breakage or damage).
