I normally build my own but I decided I didn't want the headache of having to do everything myself, because let's face it, yes building your own PC is easy, but things can and do go wrong, and I didn't want to deal with it.

AVA did very professional work on the PC. It looks stellar and runs great.

The only negative thing I have to say about them is their speed. I wish they moved a little bit faster, but they are clear as to why it takes so long; they do a fair amount of testing before they will ship a PC to ensure you are getting a quality product, so my one negative is actually a positive.

Give them a shot. I don't think you will be disappointed. "

"I ordered the Ava Direct "$1000 gaming PC" that was reviewed on G4 TV's Attack of the Show in April, 2011. I made a couople of minor changes which boosted the price to about $1150 + $30 shipping.

The PC is EXCELLENT for gaming. I am using it for everything from the usual office tasks to high-end gaming and it performs wonderfully. I had only ONE monor problem which was solved by upgrading the video drivers. Other than that, it's been wonderful.

This POC was a GREAT Christmas present to myself! Wish I could have done it sooner! I would definitely recommend AVA Direct to anyone searching for an economical gaming PC."

"I had intended to get this review up earlier, but hey, better late then never. I'm a huge fan of custom computers and have ordered from a few of the other well know companies, but by far and away AVA Direct has out preformed the lot. The rig is amazing which I expected as I paid 2k for it, but the reason I would reorder in a heart beat is Joe Mundy. Joe is the man. Cool guy, knowledgeable, and efficient. So AVA, I don't know if you read these reviews, but do whatever you need to to hold onto that man. It staff like that that make a business. Keep doing your thing Joe.

"I used to build my own PCs but I'm getting lazy in my old age. AVA Direct had the best selection and pricing. I must have been an easy customer because I knew exactly what I wanted, right down to not having stupid Intel and Windows stickers on the case. The case, BTW, is the CM Scout, which is one of the toughest and coolest-looking cases available, IMHO. AVA Direct did a great job following my detailed instructions. I was also impressed by the neatness of the wiring, the sturdiness of the shipping container and the smoothness of operation right out of the box. The closest thing to criticism I can offer is that it took about as long to receive the PC as they said it would. No problem there. I have no hesitation recommending AVA Direct based on my experience. "I ordered a custom built gaming laptop. Intel i7-2860QM 2.5GHz processor, 18.4" screen, 120 GB SSD primary drive, 40 GB SSD scratch drive for Photoshop, 750 GB 7200 rpm storage drive, 12 GB ram. I use this primarily for Photoshop editting, with a little game playing as well. The computer is awesome. From a cold start, I am up and running in less than 30 seconds. Photoshop loads in about 20 seconds. Amazing speeds. I am so pleased, I have ordered a 2nd one for my son to play games on. "What can I say?? Like most everyone, I looked around and the more I looked AVADirect looked fantastic. Having come from a retail background the customer service (Joe and Anthony) was the best. System got here in great shape and was packaged to handle the ride with FedEx...even spacers between components to hold in place. Unboxed and fired it up and haven't looked back!! So far this is the best to date for me (including some I built)...quiet, robust, and everything a young or old gamer could want.
