"We normally use Travelex for our travel insurance. But for whatever reason, their prices have nearly tripled for the same coverage we had just last year. Too rich for us. So, time to look for another agency to cover our upcoming cruise. I looked online and decided to see if AAA or AARP had any travel insurance. AAA uses Allianz exclusively. Although Allianz is a good company, they seemed a bit high to me.

On the AARP search, it returned the AARDY.com site. The site listed the AARP explanation of travel insurance and a quote calculator. I entered my travel information and it returned 7 quotes. I was shocked by how low their quotes were. I then went to the individual insurance sites and check on their quotes. They were all significantly higher than the AARDY quotes. My first thought was that AARDY couldn’t be legitimate, there had to be hidden charges.

So I then checked on reviews on AARDY. Nearly everything I read was very positive. A number of reviews were from review sites and they rated AARDY very high too. I decided to give them a shot. It was easy to book it online.

The next day I was reviewing the information I submitted and realized I had made a mistake. I immediately called AARDY and talked to an agent, Tina. She was very patient, friendly, understood my concern, and very helpful. She reassured me the issue wasn’t a problem and I was covered and not to worry. It was very reassuring to hear someone verify that everything was fine. She then explained the coverage and expense to me which put me more at ease.

I have absolutely no regrets using AARDY as my agent to broker travel insurance. The other nice thing is that they are based in the US. I sometimes have an issue understanding foreigners on customer service/help/support lines. It’s nice not having to struggle to understand someone using an overseas service where communication lines are breaking up or otherwise have a bad connection on top of trying to understand someone who has a heavy accent. I will definitely recommend AARDY to all my traveling friends in the future. "
