I did receive the lens packed well and in acceptable condition. The actual product box looked like a bulk order box of flimsy construction. In the end I did get the lens at a decent price, but higher than I expected. I could have receive more for my money by purchasing one of the many Tamron 18-400mm lens packages that is available from other sellers for the full price of $650. If you're in need of just the stripped down lens without dust covers or lens hood, this is actually a pretty good deal. Dealing with the person confirming my order and giving me the sales pitch to upgrade my order was OK. "
