"The prices for the 4th of July sale was amazing. I save over $3,000 on the TV i wanted. I was having trouble with processing the payment so i called to explain the situation. I was immediatley placed on hold and when an agent finally got on the phone he barely let me finish explaining the problem before he went to transfer me over when i then was disconnected....that happened about 6 times! The experiance was so frustrating i almost didn’t purchase the TV...hopefull the TV was worth all the hassle"

"My experience was in the beginning almost identical to that of dmartin712, though it had several extra wrinkles. In this case I was buying a pocket camera. Same message to call a salesman: I'd asked for an extra batteryl. Oh yes, I could have the battery for another, I forget, something like $70 (noticeably more than the price of a battery for my high-end SLR). And did I realize the camera doesn't come with a charger? Well that would be another, say, $50, and really the camera comes with a junk battery that runs for only an hour, a shortcoming of the camera, but if I want to upgrade to the five-hour battery, that would cost another $70 or so. And then they'd throw in as a special gift to me a little bag of goodies, a screen protector and a lens cloth and tabletop tripod. I didn't want this stuff, and I asked if I couldn't skip the trinkets and pay a more reasonable price on the batteries and charger. No, of course. I forget the individual sums, but all I know is suddenly the total price was $250 higher than the advertised price of the camera (about $900). I was stunned by the cost of accessories, since I'm accustomed to buying such items for SLRs for less, but I wasn't thinking quickly and agreed, while grumbling at the prices. I then looked up these items at Amazon, B & H, and such, and found that I was being way overcharged at Abe's. I tried to cancel the extras in the order, taking just the camera. I left a phone message and also an email. No response. I should add that I never received an invoice by email; I did print out the screen on which I'd placed my order, and that did not show an itemization with prices.
A few days later the camera arrived. The packing slip listed the contents, but again with no prices. I tried to call Customer Service to arrange a return authorization--during business hours, of course. Twice, after going through a voice response system, I heard "Goodbye!" Click. So then I called and made my way through the system looking for "Sales." This time I got a woman who told me it wasn't possible to return any of those items because some were part of the "retail pack" integral with the camera purchase--I hadn't heard of a retail pack before--while the others were "gifts" to me and couldn't be returned for money. Oh, and among the gifts she insisted I'd have received was a shoulder strap for the camera, and when I said there was none, she didn't offer to send one.
I would have been able to return the entire order for a refund, apparently, but that would have entailed a 15% restocking fee, so some $172 plus shipping. I expressed my displeasure with this way of doing business and said I'd be contacting the authorities about this, and suddenly the woman offered to issue me a check for some $86, sending me an email right away confirming this offer. I agreed to receive this sum (without promising not to report these transactions). Well that email never came, and neither did the check. In my view these people are scammers."
"I have been looking for several days, when I remembered, from a past experience, that Abe's had the cheapest price on NEW lenses for my Nikon D7100. I'm learning to take portraits & have been looking for a 135 mm Nikon lens to help with this. However; it looks like the 135 mm lenses are going out, so I decided on the 18-140 mm. Thank you for making this possible with your great savings. I will continue to shop here especially since you lower your prices lower than Amazon!! Thank you much!!"
"Easy to search and order. Looking forward to trying my new camera system."
"Great website. Very user friendly. I buy a lot of my items on line and I hate websites that make you feel you need a degree in order to buy things. This was right on the money."
"Couldn’t have been easier. Great prices, as always. Previous customer. "
"good so far. Wait for the products to arrive. Then will know more"
"Knowing that I'm purchasing gray market, and not US version, I still find the prices great, and with the return policy if any issues, I'm comfortable with it."
"Very easy shopping here. I was like in-n-out in no time. I really hope you all ship these lenses soon, I watch to photograph the July 4th parade. "
"Love promotions available "
