"I am very upset at the phone conversation and subsequent actions of Sales Rep. Jeff Stevens who sent me an email to call him a day or so after my on line order. He indicated that he had to "confirm" my order. I called him and he indicated that the TV was on order and he very quickly said something (he spoke so fast that I couldn't really understand him) about shipping and insurance. The offer for the TV clearly indicated that shipping was free. The only thing I heard was "shipping and insurance" and "twenty three eight four". I assumed that the insurance would be $23.84. BUT NO! Instead, he added $388 for "Handling and Insurance" which brought my total up to $2384) and then proceeded to try to sell me 3 yr protection plan for an additional $400 telling me that he would throw in HDMI cables that were necessary for my TV (a lie) and that the cables alone were worth $100 (another lie). This rep misrepresented and lied from start to finish. It is outrageous that I am being charged $388 ADDITIONAL for a service that was purported to be free. I will be contacting the NJ Attorney General's office about the hypocrisy that Abe's of Maine business practices. "
