"I placed an order on 5/3 and didn't receive a confirmation email. I called on 5/5 and was told they would ship my order on that day. But I haven't receive any email notification as of today (5/7).

I got the email confirmation today (5/8). My email address is working. The email dated 5/7 at 22:36."

"On May 2, I placed a small order for a firewire card, NAV 2002 and an optical mouse.

On May 5, I get an email saying the order is "processing/packing."

On May 7, have not heard anything for two more days. Their website is down. Cannot track order. No email with tracking #. HMMMMM.

Will update. I review every new vendor that gets my money. I expect a minimum of: a prompt order confirmation, shipping after the following business day w/ a tracking #, no corners cut in packing, no OEM, open box or white box substitutions, and that I get delivery within the advertised period of time. These guys say that's up to 15 days. That's too long and there are too many other people who can do it much faster at or near the same price.

UPDATE

After I posted my review, I received a tracking # from the company and they said they were upgrading shipping to expedite delivery. They said that there had been a problem filling a part of the order. That's all well and good. Abyss Technologies could prevent reviews like this by simply emailing the customer and telling them there had been a slight delay. That's all it takes guys. "

"Excellent Company, very fast shipping, I've ordered 2 CDRWs and 2 Modems, shipment arrived in 2 days after I placed the order, unfortunally, one modem arrived DOA, call their customer service about this issue, and told them I need this modem really bad because I was building systems for my customer, he was very understanding and agree to do a cross shipment for me. The replacement arrived in time for me to finish my job. I Appreciate company like this who actually takes time to take care of their customers. I've purchased from a couple of online vendors before and they either try to rip me off by extreamly high shipping (which I actually end up paying more)or their customer service just sucks nuts. "I placed an order for a Radeon 9700 pro for $276 or so with free 3-day shipping. I sent a money order out that day because they said they would nto ship util the received the money. That thursday i got the card in the mail which was 3 days after i ordered. Everything was there and everything worked perfectly.

"If you're not buying over $200 worth of stuff here, don't buy at all if you want your item in a timely manner. Abysmal's site says, "Please allow 2-15 business days for delivery." What??!! Up to 3 weeks to deliver something that lists "IN STOCK"??!! Hmmmmm... why is that? I'll tell you why- they sit on their cheeks for a week and a half before they ship the order!

Classic: Called Abysmal to verify that FireWire card was in stock. They say yay, I place the order on the 20th. On the 24th, Abysmal's site says order was shipped. On Monay, I try the USPS tracking# Abysmal gave to me- it doesn't register. I try Tuesday- nothing. Wednesday- nada. Thursday- no clue. Friday- hello??? Meanwhile, this customer of mine is waiting to do this suprise movie project for his wife and he's getting restless... running out of time. Finally- on Saturday, my tracking# pulls something up... my order just left CA on the 29th. Either CA has a bunch of doornails working the mail or Abysmal sclewed the pooch on getting this order out."

I asked them to reship, and got it after two weeks. BUT, it was not what I ordered. I ordered a retail version card with TI chipset, and got an OEM card with VIA chipset in a white box. Although they agreed to return, but wouldn't cover the shipping back to them in case of their own fault. I will just stay away from such online stores."
