"walk into the Bailey Ace store and you are greeted with a Buch of Chinese junk that is not hardware. plastic stuff that can be bought at Walmart for much less. a hardware store with ice cream, candy, junk food and what ever else that can be crammed into the tiny building.
the nuts and bolt section is all the way to the ceiling and a stool is provided to you to reach the top row. ready for a law suit. The isles are almost 3 feet wide.
remove the junk and there would be room for real hardware.

"On 5/22/23 I purchased a GE Universal remote to control my Vizio TV it would not set up or work the TV, today I went to return the remote for credit and was told I could not return it because I had opened the package. I told the clerk if I did not open it, I would never know if it would work or not. I was rather shocked to see that an Ace Hardware store would not credit me for the remote that I purchased that would not do what I bought it to do. He also told me I did not read the directions correctly; I told him the directions were inside the package I had to open it to get them. I told the man that I would never buy anything else from that store. He went on to tell me he could not resale it because it had been opened, he said he would lose money and must just throw it away, I told him that was what I was going to have to do. He said if I went to Best Buy and bought something and opened it, they would not take it back. I went on to tell him this was America and most retailers will allow you to return merchandise for a refund. That is just common-sense customer service. At the end of our disagreement regarding the return he told to get out of his store, The price with tax was $9.23 it is a sad day when a store owner would pretty much run a customer off and loose future business over $9.23. "Bought a Toro lawnmower less than a month ago. First one was defective. Brought it back. Second one was defective (same problem). Now have a bad taste in my mouth and asked for a refund. Ace says "NO. Once the unit has gas inside it we don't give refunds." That seems just swell because I don't know how You TEST a lawnmower WITHOUT putting gas in it.

"Clearly they do not value customer service at this company. I placed an order for a pool vacuum online and was sent the incorrect product of much lesser quality. I called customer service 5 times at over an hour on hold every time. After all of this, my issue was not resolved. I was disconnected 3 times, the representative put me on hold once and never came back, and the last call I was promised a return email within the day letting me know how to resolve the problem and the email never came. I then proceeded to file an online claim, and sent customer service pictures of the incorrect product shipped to me only to be told that they shipped the correct product and I needed to go to a store to discuss a refund. This is the worst customer service experience I can remember having with any company. Needless to say I will never shop at Ace online or in a store again.

"I'm really tired of companies blaming poor service on the pandemic. It's been months now, figure it out. There is no online method to cancel an order placed, you must contact a human. It's 2020. Next you'll ask me to send a fax to cancel. It's been well over a week now and I still can't get my money back."

They call you a liar when you tell them you order is short a 64 dollar item they tell you all items were delivered and provide no proof. PayPal will just side with them instantly cause they give paypal a ton of money in fees. PayPal has no benifit from protecting consumers so they don't. My claim was rejected instantly.
