"SCAM!!!! Paid for my items.It has been 10 days and still havent received a shipping confirmation. Called many times no answer!!! I thought I was ordering from the real Ace Hardware, It is a shame that this company has been allowed to continue to operate a web site!!!!"

"THIS STORE/SITE IS A SCAM!! If I could choose NEGATIVE 10 stars I would. I tried to purchase an item and thank God I didn't do so due to extremely high shipping costs. I then called them today and the woman on the phone was so obnoxious and said "That item isn't even in stock, what are you talking about?!" with a very rude tone. I then said, well your site allowed me to put it in my cart, add my credit card info etc and was about to let me place my order! I almost ordered something you don't even have? Your site is wrong and that is not ok. She said "What?! It's over, why are you arguing with me???!!" again in a very rude tone. Then I hung up. I called back later and asked to speak to a manager. This same woman asked me over and over "Why? The manager will not speak to you unless he knows why." I said I want to ask him a question why can't I speak to him? She said "We don't work like that here! You will have to email him. He doesn't want to talk to you unless he knows why you are calling" I then discovered THEY HAVE AN F RATING with the Better Business Bureau. See also ALL the reviews here! How disgusting and tragic that in this economy, where honest, good people are losing their businesses, these horrible people are still IN business?? I spoke to Ace Hardware (the real company) and they said so far there is nothing they can do to prevent these scammers from using their name. Thank God I trusted my gut. They are a SCAM- STAY AWAY!"

"Order product (Over ~$900) I emailed 10 days later and ask about shipping confirmation- no Reply. I called and spoke to"customer service". I got a flippant attitude and was informed that my selection was back ordered. I gave up and contested the charge with my CC provider. I really wish I had researched this vendor prior to ordering and am writing this in the hopes someone will avoid the hassles I experienced"

"My order was processed credit card charge - received confirmation with an order number. Nothing since. Called, left message, emailed received auto reply to wait 2-3 weeks emailed after 2-3 weeks received same auto reply. Just called my cc company and disputed charge. Avoid them."

"Horrible service. Ordered product over four weeks ago. No fulfillment, little in way of proactive explanation. I have contacted them (because they never contacted me) asking after my order and was told, both times, it would be another two weeks.

I believe I'm being lied to and that this merchant is unlikely to refund my money (which I asked for today).

Avoid them at all costs.

"this store just ripped me off for $45. They hit my credit card the day after the order was made, and like everyone else, there hasn't yet been a shipping notice 8 days later, and there has been no response to my email. I will never shop at ace hardware again because they are letting this go on. They are responsible for their trademark and business, and if they aren't going to defend it, then they don't have my business. "I wish I could rate them a zero. Worst online experience ever. Pretty much the same as everyone else. I got a confirmation email but 3 weeks later no indication that anything is going to be shipped. Emailed them again and they said I would receive the item in 3-10 business days. After that passed I emailed again and they said it was on backorder. I emailed again and told them to cancel and refund to my credit card. Will it happen? I don't know.
I am going to dispute the transaction with the credit card company and also submit a consumer complaint to the state attorney general's office.
FOLLOW-UP ON NOV 5: The company has stated on two occasions that I would receive credit within 48 hours. One was in response to a direct inquiry from me, the other via the Better Business Bureau. But the credit never happens.
It's like their mode of doing "business" is to just charge your card and stonewall you, hoping you'll either forget or give up.
FOLLOW-UP ON NOV 17: I had to follow through and file a consumer complaint with both my VISA company and also the state attorney general's office. One or both of them finally got action, as a credit finally posted to my account today.
If you want your money back, expect to have to do the same.

"I ordered insulation from this store, prompty received an acknowledgement and was charged $676. After several days when I did not receive a shipping notice I repeatedly attempted to email and call them with no response. During the process I contacted Ace Hardware an found out that this company is a franchisee that operates there own web site and it techanically not affiliated. Finally on August 16 I received an email stating this material was no longer stocked, and that I would receive full credit. As of October 11 I have not received credit in spite of repeated attempts to receive payment. "

"I was SOOOO Close to purchasing about $500 worth or stuff from this website. But, I just spoke with the real Ace Hardware, and they made it clear that this is not their website. Their link is www.acehardware.com. They do not have a "super store" at all. If you view the scammer's website, you'll even notice that the Ace Hardware logo is low quality, because they probably copied it off the internet and is just using it. I called the Ace Hardware store closest to me about an item from the superstore website and they told me that shipping is free to any store, but on the website there is not that option. The customer service rep said, "That's definitely not our website. We offer free shipping to all store location nationwide. That site is a scam."

So anyone who just clicks and pays... will be posting here later about their bad experience. I'm so glad that my post is not the case. I researched.

"Absolutely a horrible experience. I ordered a well pump and paid with Discover and was told I would receive a confirmation on the purchase. Well, after two days I had not received the confirmation, but it was charged to my card. Sent an email asking about the item and finally got an email after almost a week stating it was back ordered and would take 10 to 14 days to ship. Called and left messages but no one ever called back. What big company has a cheap voice generated voice mail saying, "Please leave a message"? Finally I got someone that answered the phone and told her I needed the item ASAP and to please cancel the order. She said done, and started to hang up. I asked her to confirm that the order was cancelled and asked if she could send me a confirmation. Funny, but I had to ask instead of her telling me they would. I did get the email stating the order was cancelled and credited, but now it has been over three weeks and they have not credited my Discover card. I have contacted Discover and they have credited me the $356 and are now following up on the issue for me. I must say that after the first initial problem I went to this web site and saw over 50 reviews and the average rating for AceHardwareSuperStore.com was one star out of five. Most the reviews had almost the same experience! What a scam! Please, please, please, stay away from them! "

"Ordered a 7 1/4" blade for cutting hardiplank siding. I thought I had plenty of time to receive it (as I wanted to use it this upcoming weekend). They charged my credit card, but never shipped it. I contacted them via email and their response is that it is on backorder. All other decent online stores will inform you of that.

Now I'm scrambling.

I had the same experience as many of the reviewers have already said. I never received confirmation even though charge went through. Emailed and called and left messages several times with no response. I'm calling my credit card company today.

"I've ordered online hundreds of times and never once had this horrible of an experience. I ordered a $150 item and received the standard, "We'll send you an email when your item has been shipped" email. 11 days later and I still have not received an email. I emailed to find the status of my response, and received nothing. I called the 2 numbers located on their website and was sent to an answering machine with the greeting, "Please leave a message". I immediately called my bank to get a new debit card and dispute the transaction for non-delivery of goods. This site is nothing but a sham to steal your money. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ACE HARDWARE SUPERSTORE! READ THE REVIEWS!!!!!!!"

"Do NOT be tempted by low advertised prices. My husband I comparison shopped for Thermoplastic tiles for our kitchen and ordered from this website because they offered the best value. After over a month of waiting for our product, and having received no confirmation of our order other than being charged over $700 to our credit card for the purchase, we sent an email. The response was that there was an additional $89.99 shipping charge because this was a "special order" item. NO where on the website was there any indication of this item being a special order item. The customer service representative I spoke to on the phone was rude, and blamed me for waiting 6 days after receiving the email instead of calling sooner, when they had lapsed over a month in sending it. They were unwilling to waive the hidden, additional charge despite the lapse in communication and the fact that they had our $700 for over a month without sending us a notice or our product. Watch out for this website, they are a disgrace to the ACE brand, and will likely try to zap YOU with extra charges and justify by saying the shipping calculated online says "estimated shipping.""
