"I bought 6 Seagate 1Tb hard drives from this company via Amazon, which were said to be "NEW" drives. After a year, the drives began failing. It took almost a year of digging to find the explanation, but finally, after checking the SMART status, I discovered that the drives had 20,000 to 60,000 hours of use, i.e. roughly 3 to 7 years of continuous on-time for disks that had been purchased less than 24 months previously. When I complained to the company, they said basically "Too bad, so sad", "maybe" they had shipped us "refurbished" drives, but it was our responsibility to have complained at the time of purchase. In other words, It was our responsibility to confirm that the NEW product they sold us was actually new!?! A complete scam and a totally untrustworthy company."
