"We used Affordable Tours because we wanted the experience and know how of a travel consultant to give us the best travel plans. We didn't get that this time. Rachel booked us on a Princess Cruise which was fine. We had questions from time to time and had difficulty many times reaching Rachel. Often having to figure out for ourselves or calling the cruise line. About 10 months ago, we decided to leave a day early an spend a night in London and see a play, I asked for hotels in London near the theater district and Rachel sent a couple of names. I asked her to book the Ibis hotel in a return email. She never booked the hotel. A month or so before the trip, I found out and booked it ourselves. And until I questioned how we would get to the ship from London, she had not booked transfers. The play turned out to be across the street from Victoria Station, both of which were 20-30 minutes from the hotel with 2 round trip cab fares. She knew where we were catching the bus and should have suggested a closer hotel. We found cabbing to be very inconvenient and expensive. On a positive note, I want to thank Affordable Tours for surprising us with a drink package on board ship. It was a nice touch.

"The Best of Britain 10 day tour covered a lot of ground. If you want to see England Scotland and Wales countryside, this is a good tour. You get a little taste of many highlights. I would have liked more of the “optional” tours to have been included in the basic tour by increasing the tour cost , however it worked out ok.
If you wish not to ride much on the coach, then this is not the tour for you. "
