"Unfortunately I had a bad experience and I would not recommend this company. I purchased “trip insurance” for my cruise and I had to cancel due to a medical problem. When I paid for the insurance I was told it would give me medical coverage and if I have to cancel due to a medical reason I would get a refund if I purchased the trip insurance. But this is not true at all. It’s false advertising. They will not pay for my medical bills or give a full refund even though I had sufficient medical documentation. It was a lot of unnecessary paperwork to file the insurance claim and was very inconvenient. Affordable Tours can not help at all so you have to deal directly with the insurance company. They can really only help you until you book and pay. Then after that there is not much help. You are better off booking directly with the cruiseline because then you get better service rather than just being told “sorry we don’t handle that”. It could have been a lot less stressful for me if I booked directly. I did not expect to have a medical reason stopping me from going on the cruise I already paid for. But life is unpredictable. At first I thought “well good thing I purchased trip insurance” but in reality it means nothing. You have to jump through many hoops to even get a partial refund and affordable tours who sold me the insurance is of no help at all. With all my medical records I had, I should have gotten a full refund and my medical bills paid for because that’s what affordable tours told me the trip insurance was for. Now that I have to actually use the trip insurance, they can not comment on anything because it’s not their department. "
