"I recently ordered a 1.33 GHz iBook G4. Found them via Google Shopping and saw they had the best non-eBay price on a machine. Order was processed and shipped within 24 hours, and arrived in the condition described. 24 hours later, I've checked out just about everything and I'm very happy with the machine.
The information on the "My Account" page of their site doesn't update very often, and one of the phone numbers on the site (800 number in the invoice) is wrong. That said, though, their other phone number works and they are VERY responsive to e-mail. I will definitely do business with this company again in the future. "

"Bought a reconditioned toshiba laptop. Packaging could have been a bit better but survived UPS no problem. Shipping was fast and they provided a tracking number within a day.
However....
The hardrive was faulty wich they REFUSE to replace. I have now become VERY DISSATISFIED with this company and no longer trust them. A laptop listed in "Grade A" condition should not fail to even format the drive. I offered to send the faulty drive back and they insisted that the entire unit be sent back 1 day after receipt. Hell I even offered to buy a new drive and send the faulty one back for reimbursement. The laptop works fine with a spare drive I had so there is no reason to send the entire unit back.
Their technition was downright rude to me in email over the incident claiming they had "rules" that could never be broken. Well I have a rule now to never buy from this company again."
"I talked to these people personnally before I purchased this computer and they assured me it would handle printshop so I bought it for my husband. when it arrived we inspected the case and nothing was broken. There was a faint line on the display and we just figured it was an older computer. we soon found out it would not handle printshop and it was very slow to come up and so on. pretty soon it started shutting down the display would fade and get so dark you couldn't use the machine. My husband lost a whole chapter because it shut down in the middle of a printout. the lpt port would not accept a printer so we had to buy a usb printer. I returned the computer and they say it works fine and I know it does not I have owned and operated computers for about 10 years and I have never had so much trouble operating one before. The first thing they said was the display had a break in it. I told them we saw the faint line and figured it was an older display. The warranty says you have 90 days. it says please report any damage in 10 days please it does not say you only have 10 days warranty. I am very dissappointed with this computer and sorry I dealt with this company. This is the first bad thing I have ever bought on the internet. I guess they are not into making the customer happy. "I have had a very disappointing experience with AffordableComputers. I recently tried to order a Dell Latitude Csx, with no avail. I e-mailed Affordable Computers and told them my situation and how I needed this computer advertised on their website for school, they knew my circumstance. A Sales Rep. name Thomas Coran responded to me, and indicated that he would set me up with this computer with no problem through e-mail, and that everything would be great. I have the e-mail he sent me. He never indicated the urgency in that I needed to order the laptop that same day. My mother then proceeded to order today and that's when things got nasty, he said he no longer had the computer and would not sale to me at the price he quoted etc. Needless to say I was appalled at the unprofessionalism and dishonesty. I thought that when he sent me the e-mail that he was truthful, and would sale me the computer. All Mr. Coran had to say was that I needed to order immediately and I would have gladly done so, he lead me on to think that a laptop was available to me and it wasn't. Now I am out of a computer for college... This is a bad experience, and I see why people don't order online anymore. Very unprofessional and dishonest."

"I purchased a Dell Latitude CPi A366XT laptop. The computer arrived in excellent condition, with the equipment and Windows 98SE software and media, as advertised. Had I not known the computer was refurbished (which was clear in the web ad), I might have thought it was new.
The company told me the computer was refurbished and cleaned by Dell at the end of a lease. In fact, the computer still has nearly 118 days of Dell warranty remaining.
I've booted the system and begun installing software. All seems to work fine.
The computer arrived via UPS within three business days. The price was very competitive for the same and similar laptops.
I've been satisfied with Affordable Computers. Based on this one experience, I would recommend the company to others."
