"Bought a Dell power supply from these people. Received it, found that it didn't solve my problem and returned it under their RMA policy. All this happened before Sept. 15, 2007. THREE MONTHS later, they have still not refunded my purchase price less restocking fee. They also have ignored my email to them.
DON'T buy from these people unless you are sure that you won't return an item."
"I needed a new power supply and did a search on their web page. It brought up a unit which was listed as compatible with my dell computer. When I received the unit it was not compatible. When I asked to return if for a replacement with the correct type of power supply they told me it was my own fault. I had to jump through hoops and ominous sounding warnings just to get a response where they basically told me I was out of luck and that I could return it for a %20 restocking fee or order the correct one in a new transaction. Their support site and emails were very confrontational and defensive. I would avoid doing business with this company. "
"The website provides power supply lookup for various PC manufacturers but the ones I looked up and ordered from them were wrong. When I finally got to return them, they only credited me about 60% of the price I paid. When I tried to call and discuss it, I was sent to an answering machine that said it was full and hung up on me. I have not been able to reach them to discuss it."

"I ordered a mATX to ATX PS adapter so I could use a mATX power supply in my PS3 mATX tower. They carried the adapter plate I needed and I ordered two of them. The prices were fair considering they were the ONLY place on the web that sells them that I could find within three hours of searching. I ordered on Monday and received the two adapters on Friday via UPS ground. Within minutes of ordering I had an email, the next day a tracking number, and four days later my shipment. It was very prompt and very quick. I would use them again if I need any oddball type items. I was very pleased!"
"Filed claim with BBB. Company admited that in two of three places on their site I had purchased the proper item, but was still my responsibility for having orderedt the wrong part. Company refused to acknowledge that their information was wrong and when it was brought to their attention that the product was even visually defective (missing 4 wires and a connector) they refused to communicate further with me."
"On several occasions, I have found this company to be inflexible and difficult to deal with. They insist upon charging sales tax even though I am a reseller with a tax certificate.
Recently, when I tried to correct this problem they were extremely rude and even hung up the phone on me. They are in an obscure area of Alabama so I guess they don't feel they need to be courteous to the customer.
Avoid at all cost - they will disappoint you and treat you rudely."
"I found this company and tried to order a part from them instead of going through the OEM. I fought with their website for a few days and it kept erroring out after I put in my credit card number. I checked with the credit card company and they said the purchase had approved every time. It appears that AffordableSurplus couldn't complete the transaction.
After a 5 days of trying, I called them and the person answering the phone confirmed that they could see my order and that there was a problem, but the person working on it was on vacation until the following week. She told me they'd look into it and call me back. I waited for a few days, but no callback. When I called them back, they told me that nothing was wrong with their system and that I would need to contact my credit card company. After explaining to them that I've already done that and the credit card company had confirmed everything was EXACT and CORRECT in my order, AffordableSurplus refused to assist me any more.
If I had that much of a problem ordering from them, I wonder how hard of a time I would have had if the part they sent was bad and I had to send it back."
