"Greetings ~

I start out by saying that this is a REVISED review and I also - I DID NOT - check on Alamo Tactical prior to ordering... I should have and its a lesson learned..

So here is my review....

I (actually) debated about ordering from this establishment and even waffled on my mouse prior to clicking and ordering a set of 3 (511 brand) shirts.

I should point out that it took me 3 days (before) actually placing this order.

I am one who reads the fine print and policies about a establishment, and I did so with Alamo Tactical (AT).

From what I read, it seemed that they have encountered (some) problems with people not paying, various other problems, and such that they changed their positions on the way they handle these issues.

They want emails (ONLY), as this is a way for them to have written proof of issues, in case anyone decides to counter them, about any issues concerning any orders that customers place - (instead of) - communication via phone.

Ordering ~

So, yeah, despite what I read, I took a chance and decided to order, as they were located in San Antonio, and I reside in El Paso. (thinking it would be faster, beneficial, and to support a Texas merchant)...

I was wrong in thinking that! ~

The reason I ordered from them, was that the price was good, compared to the originals which cost 10$ more, and they had the colours that weren't available (at the time) within the El Paso area (at all).

Status ~

It stated in the conditions that it takes about 4 days for a CC to be verified, which was a - "red flag" - (this was followed) - by an addition few days needed (before) the items are actually shipped.

Of course, the CC payment was quickly processed, within 24 hours, and I waited for the email to let me know when they were shipped, and like others, that email - never - came.

However, the product came on the day I sent them an email, making an enquiry on my order, which was 6 days after the initial order was placed. (no holiday)

What was received ~

I bought a Khaki coloured (511 brand) shirt on Fort Bliss (as it was available) and decided to order 3 of the same brand (511 brand) from AT in various colours (Tac Green, Black, and Navy Blue).

What I received was a box with (just) my address with NO RETURN ADDRESS (or) packing slip (nor) order receipt (nor) receipt inside the box... a 2nd - "red flag"

Inside the box, wrapped in paper, was (however) the 3 shirts I ordered...

I inspected the order and noticed that the manufacturers were different.

The one I bought on post, were/was made in India, while the ones from AT are from Indonesia and had a smaller 511 tag.

However, on inspecting the shirts, they are the very same ones, and they are similar in all respects.

I will assume that 511 uses various countries for manufacture, so this may be the reason for the discrepancy.

Communication ~

As was stated by the others, its non-existent, and it seems that AT is avoiding the issues it is facing, by not responding to the calls and emails. - (which only makes it worse)

One would think that any responsible company would take effort and step-up and take care of the website issues immediately to avoid any confusion. ~ however, it was not so.

I can not add anything else to what the others - before me - have already placed as its accurate.

imo ~

Though I did receive the product ordered, I can not honestly recommend this establishment for ordering anything.

The customer service is very poor, non-existent, and sub-par - (and I would recommend) - that NO ONE do business with this establishment AT ALL!!

Mainly because customer service a basic core value that customers depend on, and by what I have experience and what I have placed here in this review, this establishment can't even do that.

Let alone that since 2008; it has not even improved on that aspect.

I should note that I was unaware that AT was reported to the BBB and received a poor rating.

If I knew that, I wouldn't have placed an order.

I hope that this review is somewhat helpful to others thinking on doing business with this establishment.

"Watch out for these guys. Advertises and sells items they don't have. After sending them emails, they responded that they finally got the product and shipped it out. It's June of 2010 and I still don't have it. Thanks for nothing guys."

"Awful customer service. Ordered online and had question when order never showed up. I made several phone calls and left several emails with no response or answer. Pay the extra three dollars and use a big name company with a reputation they want to protect, worst ever..."

"I have to agree with the previous review 100%! This is by far the worse experience I have ever had with any company. Very misleading and the worse service. I never received my purchase, and I've attempted to contact them numerious times...still nothing. I spoke to Chris which is a total waste of time. Explained that I made my order weeks ago and I was told that I will easily receive my order the following week. Still nothing...I had to contact my bank and have my card blocked. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND NEVER RECEIVE YOUR PURCHASE...NOR WILL YOU EVER HEAR BACK FROM THEM. Spend your money with a reputable company. I would highly recommend Westernsport....amazing customer service and the owner Justin went above and beyond to handle my needs."

"-1 For Alamo Tactical.

Non-existent customer service department.

When I call, no one ever answers.
When I attempt to leave a voicemail, it tells me that the mailbox is full.
When I attempt to use their "contact us" form, I get an error.
When I email them directly there is no response.

I really hope I don't have to dispute a charge with my bank, (I have requested that the item I order be cancelled, and have ordered from a reputable company).

I will never shop at Alamo Tactical again, and neither should anyone else that cares even slightly about customer service, or receiving items that you pay for in a timely manor.
