There was a slight delay in shipping because something failed a quality assurance check, but the revised shipping date was right on target. It arrived in perfect condition and the out of the box experience was fantastic. All of my software runs great on the box and it was worth every penny. The paint job (green) is beautiful. "Oh lord. I should of listened to all the bad hype about this company. I purchased a maxed out M15x. totaling to about 4700$. i was, supposedly, set. After installing Crysis, i had Bluescreen after bluescreen. after COUNTLESS hours of tech support, i got different answers to the same problem from ever person. i knew the video card was overheating. going over 90 degrees Celsius during gameplay. I finally gave up and sent it to repairs where i waited for 3 weeks for a 8800 gtx to arrive in stock. NO updates were provided for that period as i was told that the company supplying the card was not getting back to the tech handling my case. FINALLY the computer came back. AS SOON as i put the computer in GPU mode, using the 8800 gtx instead of onboard intel graphics. ALL my black pixels on my screen were green! I had a review from the repair center that the card worked fine and the bluescreens had stopped! The tech didnt know what to say.

They recently sent me a new graphics card. I put it in. And still get bluescreens during gameplay. Ive done everything that i can do to fix this stupid thing as i am just about an inch of just throwing it off a bridge. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM ALIENWARE AGAIN. i should of gone falcon northwest. i really should of.

UPDATE, JANUARY 7TH 2009:
After sending off my computer to repairs for the second time, i receive it a whole month later with a supposed new videocard and an upgraded hard drive. The repair receipt clearly states that the hard drive and video have been dealt with and that the problem was solved. An email from alienware even stated that the testing phase for my computer was done extensively for my special case. After THREE days of testing it myself, more than 4 bluescreens have occurred during gameplay. Way to test your rigs alienware. Maybe they should ACTUALLY play Fallout 3 or Crysis on the rig to see if the damn thing doesnt crash. Piece of crap.

UPDATE, JANUARY 22nd 2009

Finally, after a long wait, i have been offered a full credit for my excuse for an M15x. After long and hard thinking i have decided to go with a M17 with Crossfire X. Hopefully it doesnt take as long as it did last time.

After a very short wait, maybe i was bumped up the list, my computer shows up 5 days before the estimated ship date! Now comes the time to see if everything works as promised..."

"Ever since I've known of the Alienware company, I have longed for one of their machines, kept up with their newsletters, and website, so when I had the opportunity to buy a new laptop, Alienware was at the top of my list. I looked through many companies (HP, IBM, Dell, etc) to compare prices for a gaming laptop, and Alienware seemed to offer the most bang for my buck. I ordered an m15x, and I love it. It is exactly what I had hoped for - it runs every top of the line PC game (Crysis is my best example) on the high settings - everything runs smoothly, and being Alienware, the thing is just so damn cool. The customer service was excellent - the call from the service rep. was pleasant, and so polite and patient. I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED with Alienware, and I will definitely purchase from them again, and I will recommend Alienware to anyone who is looking for a gaming PC or notebook."

"My shopping experience was good - I prefer to do it all on line - getting the exact specs that I want. The price was as expected, which wasn't great. I would have liked to have the option for the lit keyboard, but while trying to save money, it wasn't one of my options for this model. Other than that, I LOVE my laptop. The solid state HD is just ducky. Also, I was glad to be able to get XP instead of the dreaded Vista piece of junk, without a huge additional expense (like other vendors -DELL!). The one actual thing I don’t like about the lap top is that the surface is SO black that my mouse doesn’t work so well on the surface (next to the pad). "I purchased an m15x laptop and am extremely happy with it. The computer works great and plays every game I throw at it extremely well.
Customer service could be better; before finally puchasing the computer I spoke to a couple people in their sales department that seemed unfriendly and impatient, but the last person I talked to was very helpful. The only other complaint I would have is it's a bit overpriced, but not too bad considering that no other manufacturer makes a gaming laptop as versatile as the m15x. If you can afford it then it's a great buy. I would purchase from alienware again."

"My purchase experience with Alienware was wonderful. I have always wanted a computer from Alienware since I heard of the company. So when I was in the market for a new computer I decided to go for it.

The system configure page is easily navigated with a nice range of choices of upgrades from which to choose.

For me what really separates purchasing from Alienware from all other computer companies that I purchased from is the detailed order tracking page. Checking on your order status gives you exactly where your computer is in the building process.

Shipping was quick as it arrived on the day that the system was actually estimated to ship (much to my surprise). The packaging is top notch - the box would really have to take a beating to affect the computer.

The owners manual that included is a very nice touch. It provides all the information you need to get your system up and running in the shortest time possible.

The system itself is exactly what I ordered. The case is big and like no other on the market. Opening the case, all cables are wrapped tightly and kept out of the way of the airflow to keep the system cool.

If you are looking for a high-powered system I highly recommend Alienware. I know I would definitely buy from them again."

"My experience with Alienware was very pleasant. I had read about some problems with the order status page, and a rare instance of a computer arriving "dead on arrival". I have seen and heard about alienware for several years, and when my Dell latitude D600 Started to show its age, i decided to give alienware a try. I must say that i was surprised at how nice my M9750 notebook looks. The pictures didnt do the justice of how clean and well put together this Laptop is. From the day i ordered the laptop, to the day i received and opened the box, it took about 2 weeks. Not bad at all.

I understand that a company that sells so many computers will have a few bad apples, and from what i have read, most of these instances were taken care of by alienware. Fortunately it was a smooth transaction for me. I'll definitely buy from Alienware again.

"I am a repeat customer with Alienware, and I have to say that I will not ever be buying another machine from them again. Their Support is the most horrendous support group I have ever seen. My latest laptop a M15X came in originally only to have to be returned for a new motherboard. Then 5 months later the monitor casing cracked and the light pipe started falling apart in it. Returned it to them and after a month and a half now I still do not have my computer back. They claim that it is on indefinite backorder for the monitor. They will not replace it with a new one, which they still are selling, they will not issue a credit to get another, essentially they are holding a $3000+ laptop indefintely, and I am now looking to have to buy another laptop to replace this one. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Both laptops i have had have had issues and had to be returned. Their support does not get back to you and once they have your money they dont care about you any longer.

"I ordered a 9750 notebook on october 22, 2008. After about a week and it was still in phase 2 I called on numerous occasions just to find out that the video cards were on backorder. It is now November 9th and after I called them on the 6th and they said they would update the status on the website it is still stuck on phase 2. They did put a rush priority on my order but it is still not in production. The video cards were not up to there standards so they had to order another set. This is still unacceptable because I have been waiting since the 22nd of October and it was suppose to ship on the 4th of November. I'm lucky if it ships during the week of the 10th of Nov. if It dosen't I'm going to cancel my order and never order from them again. They are very slow with there process and have been the worst out of all of the online etailers that I have dealt with. I would not recommend them to anyone. They don't even compensate you for the long wait and the lies they tell you about your order. I was receiving different answers about my order including it would ship on time ............................yeah right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
