"Ordered an Aurora desktop computer from the website. There was a great selection of options and the website was very easy to use. The computer was shipped and arrived on time and was very easy to set up. The computer has worked flawlessly since the first time it was turned on. the speed and graphics are exceptional and I am very pleased with the system."
"I recently buy a notebook from Alienware, an Area 51 m15x, my order was made from Mexico, and I made it online, the waiting time was a little bit longer than estimated, but the notebook arrived completely flawless; it’s by far the most powerful and beautiful notebook I ever laid my eyes on.
The notebook can handle a lot of applications working at the same time, without errors or became slow, and the games are effortlessly executed, I had play Jericho and Bioshock, until now there is not a single weak aspect when I’m playing games, or working with CAD software like Solid Edge, Solid Works, Inventor, Autocad or similar ones.
Besides, the machine really “turn heads”, the people in my country that is aware of the existence of Alienware, are always asking me to play games, or execute heavy applications, just for the fun that is to watch the machine in action; and all the other people just stares with curiosity when I use the notebook in my university’s library.
I’m really happy with my purchase from Alienware, I will never buy a computer of any other brand again in my life, for real. :)

"I purchased an Area 51 system, my expectations were a system that could handle hi res graphics and demanding games without lag during game play. I will never by another brand of gaming computer, this system works perfect."
"Well.. My purchase from Alienware went well. The representative I talked to on the phone to order my m15x laptop was pretty well informed. She did recommend that I buy more RAM instead of faster shipping, which I thought was pretty funny. I liked how she told me its better to call a representative than to place an order online because when you call they can immediately process your order instead of having to wait for an online representative to process it.
The total time it took for my computer to get built and shipped was a day or two ahead of the "estimated time" provided by Alienware, which is nice, however, I wish Alienware provided pre-built systems that shipped out same day. Waiting a week for a computer kinda sucks, but its not terrible and it is quicker than other companies I've ordered from.
My laptop worked out of the box. Unfortunately there were a few minor issues I had to resolve before my computer was fully functional. For one, Alienware's latest BIOS update was flawed. It caused my sound to "pop" while listening to music or gaming. I searched for the issue online, and found that many other users were reporting the same problem and the way to resolve it was to flash BIOS back to the previous version. This was extremely quick and easy to do. Alienware has a really nice system setup to flash BIOS that makes it easy and safe to do. You burn a CD, boot from that CD, and it flashes it for you. Took about 2 minutes to do including burning the CD.
Another issue I had with my laptop was keyboard lag. When typing quickly the keyboard wouldn't pick up some characters. There was another work around posted online for this, and, to Alienware's credit they are very active on forums and looking for a way to resolve this issue. But a computer this expensive should come out perfect from the box. Their "200 point testing" should have seen this. I will note that while other steps in their 9-step build/ship process took a day or two, the "200 point inspection/testing" step was completely skipped over and sent to shipping phase.
Overall my experience with Alienware was positive. I would (and will) purchase from them again. I would have liked my laptop to be perfect from the beginning, but I can live with having to fix a few issues. "
"Alienware system by far eclipse any other system I have purchased. The quality, service, professionalism, and price point are second to none. "
"I purchased the Alienware Aurora Desktop. The site gave me some good options to choose from. I got a great system for a good price. The system took awhile to ship but when it arrived it was in perfect condition. The one thing that stood out from everything when ordering from this company, is the customer service. I called and sent e-mail questions to them and every time I got an answer quickly. Better than some company's I have bought from. An American answered the phone every time too. That is another huge plus for me. Anyway, I would love to keep writing but I got some games to play!"
"I am more than satisfied with my alienware laptop and really happy that I made this purchas.

"i ordered the area51 mx15. excellent computer, i highly recommend it if you aren't into building one for yourself or finding a cheapo brand offering the same components. don't skimp on the extras, just max all of it if you can, also the solid state processor is the way to go, quiet, fast, and well, solid! would like to see it cheaper though, $3800 for a laptop is quite a bit of change, but it really is worth it for the computing power and features."
"I just bought an Alienware Laptop Area 51 M17x. The system is amazing. I bought the system after 2 months of searching and reading reviews and comparing between brands. I bought the system for gaming mainly, and found this to be the best laptop since a PC is not an option to me.
The only negative comment I have about the system is shape. I think there is an area of improvement there. "
"Before ordering my Area 51 M9750, I had a trusty old Dell Latitude 600 that served me well for 5 years until I became interested in using SecondLife and other MMORPGs for instructional applications. Poof: 2L killed off ol' trusty in very short order.
My instructional design clients are mainly state agencies and other large organizations who still rely on Windows XP (or older) and all that goes along with it, so migrating to Vista at this point in my career would be an inconvenience. After months of weighing options for a desktop replacement machine, I settled on the M9750 for several reasons: 1) I could get one in my price range that would easily do what I wanted it to; 2) It would do more than I wanted it to for some time (it wouldn't become obsolete in two months); 3) I could get factory-loaded warranted XP, which means less downtime for converting all my work to a new machine; 4) It came with a nice big 17" monitor and full-size keyboard. I care more about portability and performance than the weight of it.
I have been working on my Alienware for over a month, and I am very satisified. Although delivery was delayed for a back-ordered part (and I was not automatically notified as the website promise), the laptop did arrive less than one week after the original estimated ship date. Whenever I open a product's packaging and the quality of packing material is as high as that provided by Alienware, I expect the product contained within to be at least as good. My Area 51 M9750 is solidly built of top-quality materials and parts. It even feels solid. It is fast, quiet, and cool (both temperature and appearance). This is no wimpy machine.

"Prior to this purchase, I owned a Dell XPS M1710 which ended up giving me terrible overheating problems along with countless other issues. After much searching and debating, I purchased the Alienware m15x notebook given that it was the best balance in every area that I could find anywhere -- blazing performance, sleek looks, option to use low-power on-board graphics, not to mention that it was all in a 15 inch laptop with a 1920x1200 WUXGA screen. To confirm much of the confusion out there right now, the upgraded screen on my m15x(1920x1200) is matte, while the standard WSXGA 1680x1050 for the m15x is glossy. To go along with the wonderful resolution on a 15 inch, it's simply the most beautiful, vibrant, and evenly lit display I've ever seen on a notebook. It's much better than my old 17 inch glossy screen even though it's matte and the image is crystal clear -- I often forget that it's only 15 inches.
I've always loved the look and performance of Alienware products and I must say that this one does not disappoint. Rather, it exceeds most of the expectations I had in initially placing the order. The only problems I can possibly think of is that there's no eject button on the DVD drive (have to press FN+F8), the volume touch-control is difficult to use (a large portion of your finger must be lying across it for it to recognize that you're touching it, let alone sliding it), and the touchpad/clickers aren't as responsive and and accurate as I'd hoped. The overall construction is wonderful in terms of design (particularly the style and the fact that the power plug has a ridge around the cylinder so it'll literally clip into the laptop -- something that definitely gives it a one-up over my old laptop which wore out to the point where the plug would fall out of the laptop if I wasn't holding it in), though unfortunately the entire outside of the notebook is made of plastic making it somewhat fragile and creaky, though if you take care of it, this isn't too much of a problem.
The delivery time was pretty good as well. I was particularly impressed when I was tracking the package that it made it from Florida all the way up to Ottawa, Canada in just around 2.5 days. I haven't had any person-to-person discussion over the phone with Alienware so unfortunately I can't comment too much on their service.
Overall, I can definitely say that this is a product built right up to Alienware's premium standards, great job Alienware, you have yourself one more satisfied customer!"
"Alienware has awesome products and truly personalized customer support. From the moment you purchase your Alienware, they are in contact with you - letting you know the production status and making sure that your computer is made to your specs. "I bought an Area-51® m9750 laptop and its awesome. all my programs run so fast and the blue alienhead symbol on the lid is pretty and the black makes the laptop look very sleek. I am very happy with my laptop and alienwares customer service and technical support staff. They were all helpful and very informative."
"I love my new Alienware M15X, I find the touch senser buttons to work quite easily and effectively and the backlighting is amazing.
