"Ordering process easy to use. Questions answered promptly and mostly accurately. For some reason they sent two keyboards and mice, but otherwise the system arrived promptly and in working order. Customer service/tech support seems responsive, though I haven't had to use them much. Updating system a little confusing, they should look into using a similar system to their parent company, Dell. Performance is good. "
"I purchased an Area-51 M9750 17" laptop computer on June 17th and followed the production online and through email updates and received it on June 26th and as I live in Canada I was and am totally impressed with the computer and my Alienware experience! "Ever since I was a teenager I'd always dreamed of owning an Alienware system. The combination of stylish case coupled with cutting edge hardware really appealed to me as a gamer and computer geek. It took many years, school, and a decent job before I could finally afford to get the Alienware Area-51 7500 but man was it worth the wait! I couldn't be more happy with the machine, it runs every game I throw at it (including Crysis) with all the graphics settings all the way up. When it's time for work, it handles all my art and production programs like a champ as well. The case is both beautiful and well designed in that it is roomy and offers tons of space to move things around and upgrade. Aside from the product being spectacular, Alienware's service has been top notch so far as well. The PC customization on the website was easy to use and fun, shipping was fast, phone calls and emails to support were promptly answered by competant staff who addressed my issues immediately and saw to it I had my answer. In the end I'm more impressed with Alienware and their products then I ever thought I'd be. I would buy from them again and also recommend them to others."

"What a refreshing experience! I ordered my Area 51 7500 Desktop on June 23rd after work. I created my order online and then called to finalize the order. The Sales person was great and I felt an instant rapport with her. I watched each day as my order progressed thru the process and was shocked and delighted when I received an email saying my computer shipped on the 26th! I paid for the 2nd day delivery and took the day off from work to be home when the computer arrived.
I immediately unpacked the computer and have been quite happy ever since. I have opened the computer adding in a new harddrive and am very impressed with the quality of the work done here. I really saw that Alienware took the time to secure cabling and why they take pride in their computers.
This computer is on the high end but it definitely falls into the you get what you pay for class.
In this day an age of companies cutting so many corners with quality parts, customer service being outsourced to India etc - it is a wonderful thing to find a company that still takes pride in their product and actually delivers as advertised and promised.
I have and will continute to whole-heartedly recommend Alienware products to all who will listen.

"I received my Area-51 m17x laptop approximately a month ago. Laptop computers are what better suit my needs, and I have owned 5 previous computers of different brands (Toshiba, HP, IBM and Acer).
In every case, I tried to pick the most reliable models, but they didn't meet all of my expectations. Most available laptop models from brands other than Alieware tend to sacrifiece performance over portability.
With every single of those models, issues arose, and the attention I received from the support staff of those companies was not what I expected.
When I ordered my m17x, I sent many e-mails to the Alienware staff. They replied to all my questions within 48 hours or less. The attention I received was very good and they helped me in every way possible.
Upon unpackaging my previous laptop models, I always had an intial feel of satisfaction followed by a degree of disappointment, when I noticed they wouldn't perform as expected.
When I received my m17x, I must say I was rather astonished: it exceeded my expectations in every way. Its performance was awesome and I was particularly happy to see that, just as the tech specs said, the battery actually lasted over 2 hours, even while multitasking media applications and playing a game for a while. The tech specs on my previous laptops said the battery lasted 2 hours, and I never really got over 1 hour of battery life from them.
Alienware computers have a reputation of being more expensive than the average commercial models provided by other brands, but for the first time, I felt I was actually getting what I
had paid for. In addition to that, the personalized nameplate on my m17x, my owner identification card, the cap with the Alienware logo and the leather wrapped manual, made me feel I was a part of Alienware. I was treated in a special way, definitely not how other brands normally treat their customers.
To me, my laptop is my workbench, my entertainment centre and my most important communication device. The webcam, microphone, bluetooth and all the different ports really make everything easier, now I don't need to carry my regular accesories anymore.
I like Alienware's concept of personalizing your computer whenever you feel like it. The AlienFX illuminated keyboard looks awesome! It's something you can't miss it if you buy your own m15x or m17x. I haven't seen any other computers with such an amazing exterior design. Both the Skullcap and the Ripley frames break the pattern of the generic, boring flat frame, and they look very nice, specially with the alien head with the glowing eyes!
My m17x is not only powerful enough to deal with my engineering design applications, it also deals with the latest games and allows me to run them on highest settings. What else could I ask for?
High performance, nice looks, durability and excellent customer support: just what I always wanted. This was my first Alienware acquisition, and I'm so happy with it, I'm sure it's not going to be the last. To anybody out there considering to buy from Alienware, I assure you will not regret."
