"In April of 2008, I purchased the Area 51 M9750 laptop. I have been impressed with Alienware from the time I submitted my order. The order process was easy and they followed up with confirmation, step by step processing of my order and tracking of my package once shipped. Upon arrival, the computer was securely packaged and contained an accurate packing slip. All reference documents and discs were included in a nice Alienware binder and they even threw in an Alienware cap. Very nice first impression. Once I set up my computer, I experienced some networking problems. I stayed up late attempting to troubleshoot to no avail. I then called customer service the next day. I was dreading the troubleshooting process but was surprised to find that the representative was very pleasant, spoke english and made the whole process painless and actually enjoyable. Before hanging up, I asked to speak with a supervisor to advise of my positive experience. To date, I have not had a single problem with my computer. However, should I experience a problem look forward to the next opportunity to work with the Alienware support representatives. Alienware support is an example for all computer companies to measure themselves by. I am very pleased with my decision to go with Alienware and can guarantee I will be a repeat customer.

"I don't know much about computers. Just know when they don't hold much and run too slow. My first Alienware (desktop) I bought a year ago and is still faster at in-game load time than others and it still has a ton of memory on it even though I've downloaded games, music, movies, photos, etc.
So when my husband's (Lenovo) laptop which he used for work, wasn't performing so well during on-line gaming we bought him an Alienware laptop. Now his load time is just as fast as mine and he can keep all his work-related items on it without bogging down the speed.
The customer service people knew how to answer my computer illiterate questions without making me feel stupid and without becoming impatient. Also they did not try to con me into buying/upgrading to something I just didn't need. I think that non-used car salesman attitude impressed me the most.
In 2 years we plan on buying the kids their own refurbished Alienware desktop for school work (and gaming of course.)

"To say the least my first purchase with Alienware did not start off pleasant. With my original order back in 01/08, I had problems with my new M15X from the day I received it. After several replacement parts, and tech support without success I was forwarded to a Critical Issues Team member Oscar Fernandez. Once I was in contact with Mr. Fernandez everything was done by him to make sure that my experience would be a great one and that I was 150% happy as a customer of Alienware. He is very knowledgeable, polite, and strives to satisfy the customer and has in fact made my experience with Alienware a great one!

The ordering process, (and I did Finance through Alienware), was meticulous, with lots of verification.
Time consuming, but NOT really a bad thing to do, in terms of protecting me the customer, and them the vendor. I appreciated that.
I have been wanting an Alienware product for at least 5 years. A job change provided me with the opportunity.
3 Boxes arrived at my home, I was on the road.
However, the wife unpacked my new jewel, and the additional stuff that came with it. Phone descriptions just cannot do this machine justice.
I did not get to see my new machine utils 12 days later.
What a machine !!! I do some Auto Cad, plc Programming, Photos, websites, and of course some gaming.
I am Running XP Pro, Essets NOD antivirius, Office 2007, a couple of games, and my business software.
This is a "Hi-End" Machine!!

Yes, Alienware paroducts are a little expensive, and you can buy cheaper.
In my humble opinion, it is doubtful that you can buy better.
I can appreciate the fact that this company, "Stays Cutting Edge" in their Hardware designs.
My only Disapointment....Ailenware came out with another platform (the M17X), a couple of weeks after this purchase.
Now, I do not have the latest and greatest..but darn close !!

"The computer came way before they said it would. I expected it to come in 2-3 weeks and it came in only a few days. The PC was exactly what I ordered and performs even better than I expected. Alienware was great with communication too. The only problem was that one item- the free hat they throw in with the PC- was on back order but even that came within the time frame they originally gave!
I am a very satisfied Alienware customer and would recommend getting a gaming PC with them to anyone I know."
"I was shopping for a laptop for school since December 2007 when I had to return my macbookpro and after being a long time gamer, finally went to the Alienware website to check out what they had to offer. When they released the m15x, I saved up and finally on March 26th, purchased the laptop. It was shipped on April 8th and arrived at noon on April 9th. There was not a single defect on it and everything works beautifully; this powerful machine can do anything I throw at it and even though it is a bit heavy, still very portable. As for customer service, when I called once to check on my order, it was somewhat difficult to understand what the lady was saying but she was nice and in the end, she gave me the information I wanted. I haven't had any other problems to call about yet. Overall, I would like to say that I have been completely sold as an Alienware customer now and will be returning whenever I need a new computer from now on. Their products are amazing in design and function. Thank you Alienware for such a superb product!"
"The customization in the Alienware store automatically made them my first choice to find a computer. It was easy to navigate, and once completed, my computer was shipped and received in a hurry. The laptop itself is amazing. The minimum setup, while comparatively speaking was generally cheaper than competing laptops, was also better. The system runs flawlessly, and the added lighting effects on the system are great. With this purchase, it feels like I won't have to buy another computer."
"Overall the experience was very good. I bought a refurbished unit from the Alienware email store. I was a little leery of buying a refurbished machine, but Alienware had a good rep and I was reassured the quality would be good. When I received the unit, I was floored by how good it looked. The laptop came in high quality packaging and was so immaculate that you couldn't tell it was a refurb.
The unit itself was exactly as described in the ebay description. With the exception of a minor configuration issue, everything worked great. I would definately order from Alienware again, and next time may splurge for a new unit so I can add some more toys.
My only complaints are that the shipping took a bit longer than I expected, given the unit was already manufactured. Also, the Windows XP image that was on the hard drive REALLY should have been updated with all the Windows patches. I spent almost 2 hours when I got it downloading service packs and updates.
