"My Digital Delivered testimonial....
Customer Service??? You won't find it at Digitaldelivered.com. Potential customers beware!!! Not only do they have false advertising on products, but even after you talk to some in their "Customer Service Dept" who says he will send a call tag, no call tag will ever show up. I'm amazed companies like this think they will continue to make it in such a highly competitive market.
Here is my story...
On 4/11/05 I called Digital Delivered to verify the product on their website was indeed a new retail boxed camera. The person in the sales department confirmed it was. Later that day I placed an order for a Nikon Coolpix 3100 NEW as pictured below for $159.00. Incidentally I never received an e-mail confirmation of my order (and yes I did check my bulk mail folder).
On 4/21/05 the order arrived, I opened the box only to find a brown box, NOT a new retail box. Puzzled I continued to open the brown box only to find what looks like a refurbished camera.
I called Digital Delivered and talked to Sid on 4/22/05 to get an RMA number and a call tag sent, he tried to tell me they sent me the right thing and that the product carried a one year warranty. Again I told him I needed an RMA, which he reluctantly gave me. I then asked for a call tag, he said he would call FedEx and give me a call back either that day or the following Monday, 4/25/05, to let me know when FedEx would be coming by to pick up the box. I never heard from him, so on Tuesday 4/25/05 I called Digitaldelivered.com and spoke with John the "supervisor". He informed me they don't give out call tags even if they shipped the wrong merchandise even if one of his employees said he would send a call tag. He told me no employee would say such a thing. I asked if Sid is a long time employee, he replied Yes, so my next obvious question was, why then would he have told me he was going to send a call tag if he knows the policy. He didn't have an answer for me. I then asked if Sid was there, and yes he was. So John put the phone on hold to supposedly ask Sid if he had told me he was going to send a call tag. John got back on the phone and told me he asked Sid and Sid said NO he hadn't told me he was going to send a call tag.
Lesson learned: Sid is a liar, John doesn't know what customer service means.
Digital Delivered was closed Monday 4/25/05 due to a religious holiday...hmmm. Great customer care from a company with supposed religious beliefs."
"Ordered camera on web. next day I get an email saying I need to contact them. They try to sell me accessories which I said no to. 3 days later I contact them for shipping info. They tell me it is progress but should go out the next day. 8 days later I call and they give me a fedex shipping number. The number is invalid. I call back two hours later. Now they say, that they contacted me and they don't have any cameras. They did not contact me! (I am assuming they got other people to buy the overpriced accessories and just did not bother doing my order). Avoid this company."
"BAD EXPERIENCE. WOULD LIKE TO WARN OTHER POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. I ordered a kodak 4530 in time for my vacation. It arrived non-functional ( no flash). I returned the camera within the hour by USPS and e-mailed to give them tracking numbers. I then telephoned them and was told I was not allowed to return the camera without a restocking number or it would be returned to me at my expense. The lady on the phone was dismissive and rude. she told me I'd have to pay a restocking fee. I asked for the manager. He agreed I could return the camera without paying a restocking fee, provided I let them send a replacement (which I agreed to, but was worried about it, in case it just brought further problems). Now, two weeks later, there is still no camera. Vacation came and went with no camera. Now I am faced with having to argue with them to recover any financial loss. All interactions thus far indicate this will be a painful process. "
"For the camera I was looking for, few suppliers were offering a price as low as AllAboutDigital (aka DigitalDelivered). And DigitalDelivered was the only supplier to actually have the camera _in stock_ at that low price.
As always with smaller suppliers, don't trust any "in stock" labels on a web site. Call them up and ask if they have it and how soon will it ship. DigitalDelivered took my order over the phone, and ran the usual "would you like to buy these accessories" sell, but without being pushy.
They said they'd e-mail me an order confirmation and a tracking number when my camera shipped, which would be "within 48 hours". A little more than 48 hours later, I had heard nothing. I called, and they said the camera was packed and ready for shipping.
Three days after that, I called again looking for a tracking number. They gave it to me, and the FedEx site showed that the package was waiting for shipping. Three days after that, my camera arrived, with all the other included accessories.
So, you might not get the fastest service around, and you will need to shop with them by phone (never got an e-mail), but on the other hand - the prices may be too good to turn down!
(I wouldn't have minded waiting 8 days as much if they'd stated that kind of timeframe at the start.)
Recommended for a good deal if you don't mind waiting a bit."
"Horrible place to buy from on-line. Their web site does not take orders in real time. I placed my order on Jan 15 and never got an confirmation email. I called the next day and was told that they didn't have the order. After hearing the guy sift through papers, he found the order and said that it was not processed yet. I needed the camera badly so I asked him to upgrade shipping to 3-day air. He said no problem and that I would be charged extra shipping. 5 days later, no camera. I called again and they told me it just went out that very same day. Huh? She said they had problems getting MC to authorized the charge. Huh? I buy off the web all the time and nobody has ever had problems charging to it. Another week went by and I called them again. They finally gave me a tracking number. It turned out that they shipped it to the wrong address. UPS was about to return the package when I called them and corrected the delivery address with them.
The package was finally received, more than 2 1/2 weeks after the order was placed. Bottom line, these guys are screwed up. Don't trust buying a battery from them.
