"After determining I wouldn't find anything at local furniture stores, I found a website called allcoffeetables.com. The buying process was quite easy. They accept Paypal as well as credit cards which makes for a hassle free and easily reproduced "paper" trail. Shipping is the key part of this process since everything is so heavy and is freight prices. My coffee table weighed about 100 lbs gross. And I was told that on a scale of 1-5 for the table getting damaged in shipping that mine was 2 - pretty rarely.

Sure enough my coffee table came and one corner was cracked almost as if someone had hit it with a hammer. However, in the big picture this wasn't worth sending back because: 1. It took 2 and 1/2 weeks to get here and 2. The cracked part will not be seen by anyone (this is being used as a TV stand for an incredibly heavy tube TV - 250 lbs). I was warned that it would take 5-7 days to process before shipping. And I can live with that. But after checking the website on the 1st of Sept. I noticed that it had been shipped overnight. But I didn't receive it overnight by any means. From that date it took 5+ business days to ship. It wasn't an incredibly long time for a piece of furniture, but it was a hassle. Buying furniture online will probably not become a pastime of mine"
