This makes them impossible to obtain as neither a doctor nor a veterinarian will write an Rx for an OTC product. I had hoped it would be relatively simple to get this corrected, but both customer service and the corporate office both just kept parroting that it was an Rx product. I requested that they review the manufacturer's website, product inserts and/or the product information publicly available at the US federal government's Institute of Health National Library of Medicine website for GenTeal Tears (NDC 0065-0426-36). The corporate rep became irate and read a sentence from SingleCare (a random drug discount program website that she found via Google as per her words) that claimed it is an Rx. No amount of reason would convicne her to forward this matter to someone who could correct it. Complaints have been filed with the Florida Attorney General, FDA and DEA."
