"I have years of experience refilling ink cartridges for Canon printers. The product I received from alotofthings.com is better than the generic junk that can be purchased at the local discount department store, but way inferior to what I am used to using.
The inks are sent in tall thin bottles. This makes it difficult to insert the syringe down to the ink level to draw up the ink, and the bottles have a higher center of gravity making them easier to tip. The inks themselves have a pungent smell to them. This smell remains on a print until the ink is totally dry. I bought new empty cartridges from them, yet their instructions say that the filling holes need to be widened with the supplied twist bit. If they're selling the cartridges as part of their refilling kit I feel the cartridges should come prepared without any need for modification. The instructions also mention putting the clear seals over the plugs, yet none were provided. Color accuracy on prints is no where near the OEM or what I am used to using. B+W come out with a heavy magenta cast - it's almost purplish. I have tried to reprofile the printer, but still am not satisfied. I have placed a rush order from my usual supplier.
Plenty of forums and sites on the net praise Sensient Technologies/Formulabs ink. "Alotofthings" states that is the type of ink they provide, I don't know whether it's true or isn't true. I know I don't like what I received from "alotofthings"."
