"I really appreciated that Alpine has an ala-carte method of buying their ductless mini split systems. All that you are getting for the base price is the indoor unit, outdoor unit and the remote. The line sets, wiring, pad and everything else is extra. While this may sound like a negative, it is not. They offer all of the associated accessories to add to your order, even a 5/16 to ¼ R410a adapter for you gauges, and a disconnect with a whip. Saves time and money as you can order the line set & control wiring in the length you really need, rather than throwing away half of it that you don't use, or being three feet short. They have multiple options to add to the order, so read carefully, measure twice and cut once. Instal went smoothly, I didn't have to go to Lowe's once for missing parts. The system is super quiet both indoor and outdoor section. Blowing 51 degree air, and my garage is now a comfortable 78 rather than the hundred-and-hell it was before.

The only negative was the shipping, FedEx Freight. My order was supposed to arrive Tuesday, it finally showed up Friday. I did have some damage, but signed off on it before opening the boxes, so my bad there for not checking. I straightened out a bent panel on the condenser, and it looks fine now. Other damage was to the line set cover, but I didn't use the whole kit so that didn't cause any issues. Can't take a star away from Alpine, it's a FedEx issue, not theirs."

"Ordered mini split system. Order was processed and shipped quickly. Got system installed. One air handler kept faulting for com error. Absolutely no tech information available anywhere. Had to use basic troubleshooting from other manufacturer. Made contact with tech support they agreed with my diagnosis of bad control board. Took couple days but warranty shipped new board. Went to install new board realized board did not have all connectors needed. Contacted support again. Took pictures of original board and new board sent them to tech. Once again agreed had bad board and they would be on contact with me. 3 days goes by nothing. Called support again after long hold time they found order said just waiting on approval and will ship new board Monday. I asked about overnight shipment was denied said I would have to pay extra if I wanted that service. Even though this will be third board for this air handler and I still don't know if it has any other problems. I've hand this installed for roughly 2 weeks and it's never ran. Will avoid Blue ridge brand from now on. "

All tolled the cost was half that of the local quotes and after I purchased what was needed we had beautiful new A/C unit and condenser installed within 72 hours.
