Install went well with my HVAC friend. Glad I had him as bending the lines can be tough not to kink the larger diameters without the proper tools.
Quality of product is great, again my HVAC friend was impressed especially since the price point is lower than other brands.

"My mini split 1.5 ton DIY unit came as scheduled, that day I installed the outside condenser, the next day I installed the inside wall unit and connected the two units with the control wiring and refrigerant lines. The unit is up and running well !! I put the hole in for the control wiring and refrigerant unit per the template, I believe that 3.5” hole should have been 1/2” higher because I can see the thickness of the wall tube below the wall unit . The other thing I noticed that the plastic plugs in the end of the refrigerant lines were loose on the inside unit."

"Great pre-sale advice on sizing and how many units. I did 2 interior units and 1 heat pump. Emailed quote reminders regulary along with aticipated price increases. I initially rec'd my quote in March, decide to order right before Memerila Day, May 28th, and was told "some small items" may not ship until Thursday, June 3rd, no problem. You get an order confirmation and "pending shipment" status. Around June 10th I called to see when my order would ship and was told the heat pump will arrive to Alpine June 28th or so and then ship to me!! Meanwhile my credit card was charged the full amount on May 28th. I would get my bill before my unit arrived. After many phone calls for help they "re-routed" some units and I installed everything on June 19th. I'm not a pro but have dealt with auto A/C, flares and general mechanics. Between the video guides and a call to tech support I had no trouble with the install and the units are COLD and super quiet. No more window rattlers!
2 grips: 1. They should only put a HOLD on a credit card like a hotel or rental car and bill only when the product actually ships.
2. Be more honest and pro-active about back orders. Before the sale the emails come regularly, after the sale, crickets.
