"I purchased an alternator in May 2011 from AlternatorPros.com. By October, I started noticing unusual voltage fluctuations in my car and by November, I had to have the alternator replaced. Turns out the voltage regulator on the alternator had failed and the alternator was putting out 16 volts instead of 14. Per alternatorpros warranty policy, they would REPLACE my alternator, but would not reimburse me for the original labor cost I paid to have it installed, nor the labor to have the new one installed. I ended up losing about $500 in total parts and labor due to this faulty alternator. If you have a vehicle that you can easily perform the labor on yourself, then I suppose alternatorpros isn't a bad choice. However, if you have a vehicle like mine (2003 Audi A6 2.7T), then I recommend going to a shop that has a warranty that covers parts and labor."
