"I've bought in-person from their store any number of times.

Their people are very knowledgable, unlike [name of national computer parts store omitted].

When I hit a problem, they allowed exchanges or refunds with no questions, even when (as with memory) it technically wasn't allowed by their return policy.

So I have no qualms about buying something there.

It should be noted that their selection is not as great as, say, NewEgg, and due to the cost of bricks and mortar, the prices are a bit higher. I am willing to do it anyway for the reasons above.

"The Altex ordering process was good. Most of the items shipped quickly, however, one item shipped separately. When the separate item arrived it had obviously been opened and was missing pieces. It took almost 2 months of talking to various people to get a refund and to top it off, they refused to refund shipping even though it was their order. If everything goes well they're ok, if not prepare for a long fight. Make sure you keep good notes!"
