"I refuse to do business with Amazon.com again.
Amazon used to be good, but now they ship all of their customer service jobs OVERSEAS to people who can hardly speak English. Also, Amazon intentionally misleads customers regarding shipping times. I paid extra for expedited shipping, and products I ordered from other sites after the Amazon order, for which I opted for regular shipping all arrived sooner than my Amazon order, and they were from the opposite side of the country. The Amazon order was from the same state. When I called I was told by idiot # 1, and idiot # 1's supervisor: "I'm very sorry you feel that way sir, but that is our policy." It sounded as if they were reading from a Xerox copy, because they BOTH said almost the same things word for word as the other did.
It is clear to me that Amazon.com believes they are invincible. They are WRONG!
From now on, if I find a product on Amazon.com that I want to buy, I will go directly to the seller's website, and then only after I check with Reseller Ratings first."

"I have been a devout customer of Amazon.com for over 10 years now. I've never had a single issue when placing an order with this company. Dec. 31, 1999 at 11:45pm I placed several books into my cart with intentions of ordering them at midnight just to debunk the Y2K threat. I received my order in less than a week. You can't go wrong with their pricing but I have started to think less of their "free shipping" over the past few years. It's not near as timely as it originally was and the use of USPS as a carrier leaves you with nearly useless tracking info. If you want your order within the week, free shipping might not be a wise choice. Otherwise, all orders have always arrived, free shipping or paid shipping."

"I attempted to cancel an order for a TV because I decided I would like a larger set which I was also going to order from Amazon. There return service is a joke. I canceled the order after it had just made it out of your warehouse and was waiting to be shipped at another warehouse to my location. They shipped the order the rest of the way anyways and made it to my location on the 11th. 7 days now and my TV still hasn't even been shipped back to them and I can't get a refund until they get it back. I shipped the other part of the order back and they received it on the 11th. 7 days they have had my returned blu-ray player and still no indication of a refund yet. I canceled on the 8th of September and the best their CSR can tell me is that the earliest they can help is on the 8th of October an entire month later. I'm severely disappointed with my service for this order. This may be the last transaction I make with Amazon. It's really unfortunate but Amazon is becoming more out of touch with consumer care, their shipping times are terrible and there customer service is terrible (their CSRs are nice enough it's their policies that are abhorring).
Update: My order was fully refunded to my account on the 25th, 2.5 weeks after I canceled the order."
"I saw a write-up on a USB Bluetooth speaker for under $30. I wear hearing aids, so the earpiece will not work. But I have found this Motorala speaker to function very well. It sounds ok and nobody was unhappy with the audio from my end. The best part is that today I saw the same exact Bluetooth speaker in Office Depot -- in a fancy box -- priced $50 higher than the price I paid. I am sold on Amazon!"

I ordered 2 products 3 days ago that said they were in stock. Because I chose the Free Super Saver shipping method the products don't go out for shipping immediately but rather 5-9 days after I submitted my order. This makes me think that Amazon.com tries to delay the free shipping so that customers are discouraged from using it. I will from now on use the free shipping offers that I get from Ebay. I have bought a lot of items on Amazon.com over the last years but after being a customer for 9 years I will now abandon this place!"

"Have heard good things about this store but unfortunately had a very bad experience with them ordering a Samsung TV.
Ordered the TV as a birthday present with plenty of time to spare as it was a little over 2 weeks away. Initial arrival date was about a week away, and then it got delayed to 2 weeks which was still okay just annoying. The TV arrived missing a part however so it could not be set up, and amazon would give no help saying that they don't open the boxes before they send them out.
Told me I had to find the part myself and they would give me no discount and now the TV definitely won't be ready in time."

A stern but polite email to Amazon had my CD replaced via free overnight shipping. I would've preferred they got it right the first time, but I respect their dedication to 'making' it right. I honestly lowered their "shipping process" rating for this event, but I'm still a very satisfied customer.
Ordered a refurbished TomTom One 130 GPS. Was very pleased with the unit until it failed two days later. A quick visit to Amazon's website & a few minutes later a prepaid shipping label was on my printer and a replacement was on-order. Three days later, I had my replacement & shipped the first unit back. My cost: $0. Can't ask for a better returns policy. You can't help but like Amazon! I'm not crazy about mail-in rebates, but it's worth it [to me] to get a GPS unit for $50 w/ free shipping. Amazon has become my first stop when I shop online. "
