"A drop in the ocean but here it goes. Amazon is a great great store. If I have to write a review for every thing I buy there I think I would be a top reviewer on this site. I used to have mix feelings about amazon, but after buying a lot of stuff and having great customer service (compared to other stores like Dell or retail stores), I think they deserve my good review. Savvy customers have great experience at amazon, crappy customers have lots of problems. For me, amazon is as simple as I pay for what I get and if the product is damaged or not what I expected, I get my money back. I hope they continue the way they're now.
P.S. I think the only thing I don't like about amazon is their price fluctuation."
"Ordered 46-inch television on Dec. 16, which was shipped out that same day via Pilot Freight (an Amazon sub-contracted shipping company). Online tracking, both on Amazon.com and Pilotair.com showed no updates whatsoever for a week’s time, then, on Dec. 23, tracking showed “THIS SHIPMENT HAS BEEN DELIVERED” at 9:30am, and signed for by me. While in reality the TV had never arrived, and I had signed for nothing. I called Pilot Freight that evening to inquire, and the guy said, “Oh yeah…”, in a tone indicating he knew what had happened, and said to me my TV was in fact in Portland, OR (2 hours North of my location), and was safe and sound. He said the TV would be delivered on Friday, the day after Christmas. Friday passed with no call or delivery. Online tracking continued to show my item had been delivered and signed for by me. I called Amazon.com to inquire, and the outsourced difficult to understand English representative told me the false information presented on the Amazon tracking site was “Due to computer delays”, and that I’d be getting my TV “as soon as possible”. Getting nowhere with that call, I sent an email to Amazon.com insisting that they show me my signature from the delivery that they claimed had already been made. A day and a half later I received a call from Amazon indicating that the false information on their tracking site was the fault of the shipping contractor (Pilot), and that it was an “honest mistake”. The representative said he couldn’t/wouldn’t provide me with a copy of the delivery signature, and that the TV would be delivered on Monday, 12/29. End of call. Shortly thereafter, the field “Signed for by:”, which had previously shown MY name, was changed to someone else’s, but the site continued to show that the TV had already been delivered on 12/23 at 9:30am. Monday passes, and no call from the shipping company to arrange for delivery, and no TV had arrived. Various items on both the Amazon and Pilot tracking site were changed, however. I call Pilot freight again, and they say they can’t/won’t produce the signature showing that I had originally signed for delivery on 12/23, and that the error was the result of a new employee improperly entering information into their system(s). Meanwhile, some time on 12/29, the online tracking on Amazon.com and Pilotair.com showed that my TV had been delivered on December 31, 1969 at 3:59:59pm. (I’m not joking.) I allow Tuesday to pass, and no call to arrange for delivery was made, and, obviously, no TV delivery. Then, that evening, I get a message from the freight company indicating that they had my TV, but it didn’t match the TV I had ordered. They apparently had a Samsung LN46A630, NOT the LN46A650 which I had clearly ordered, originally. They requested a call back, asking what I wanted to do about it. Upon my return call, I told them to take the TV back; I had had enough of this exercise of total ineptitude. I called Amazon to cancel the order that evening, and was told by the outsourced representative that he couldn’t fully process the cancellation, as that would require a manager who was not on duty at the time. I was told to call back the next day to arrange for cancellation. Upon my call on 12/31, they didn’t have record of my cancellation, so I had to once again furnish the Amazon rep with the information needed to cancel the order. I was told to call yet ANOTHER number, this time a U.S. center, to finalize cancellation of order. So I called it, demanded cancellation and full refund, and was granted my request. Although the rep said it would take unit they get the TV back for me to receive my refund, which is a dubious requirement given the incompetence of their shipping contractor in the first place.
Overall I’m shocked and extremely angry over this transaction. I ordered my television on a specific date so that I would receive it in time for a bowl game that I, friends, and family had been looking forward to for some time. So Amazon and Pilot effectively shafted our plans, and blunted enjoyment of the gathering and event. A rude dose of Amazon.com holiday cheer, if you will. Another reality is, while indeed small in amount, Amazon has been making money on MY money, while never delivering the TV I paid for in full. As such, I intend to ask them for the interest I otherwise would have been making, as it’s MY money. I want it.
To conclude, I shall never trust Amazon again, and am absolutely beside myself in realizing the incompetence they’ve demonstrated over this entire transaction. Even at this point in time, the Amazon tracking site shows that my television WAS delivered-- This time it shows that my TV was delivered on 12/31 at a time that hasn’t even arrived yet at the time of this writing. Truly incredible…"
"Ordered a Logitech Z-5500 from Amazon for Only $232 plus $34 for shipping
Now, I like to start out with the fact that i received my item in a slightly banged up box within a box, but opened it and was overall excellent. The speakers were exactly what i ordered NEW never opened and they work flawlessly I give even logitech a 10/10 for their product....i was disappointed in Amazons shipping though, the speed of the shipping was amazing but the delivery was not...heres my short story.....
Ordered the item I believe it was the tuesday before Christmas and had it shipped to a BUSINESS with a COMPANY NAME...It came to the business that Saturday at 8:30am which was very fast for a 56lb box but unfortunately our company was not open on weekends...my fault on that one....but then i call to confirm that it will be delivered again and they said they wouldnt go inside the building because it was a HOME DELIVERY....uhhh amazon I paid to have you ship it to BUSINESS...so i called in about 6 times looking for it giving them instructions to come inside the building to our suite and that our business closes at 5:00pm..... i get the package NEXT tuesday at 4:10pm ....talk about cutting it close due to fedex poor ground service....
Overall i got what i wanted and it works great 9/10"

"Amazon.com used to be a top-notch shopping experience, but that now belongs to the past. I am not sure what happened in the meantime, but the level of service has degraded in every regard. Shipping has always been slow. Returns and exchange has become tougher and more complicated on some products. The quality of products has declined, while misleading information and false advertising is on the rise. Tons of fake/paid reviews. Amazon recently refused to publish a negative review I attempted to post, despite my 10-year old membership, and at least 80% of positive opinions I have left over this time. It seems their business philosophy is taking them down the drain, where Ebay and similar competitors are happily waiting and cheering for them."

"I ordered an item on December 13th and it never arrived. I contacted Amazon.com regarding this and they immediately refunded me the full amount and sent multiple apology letters letting me know that the item must have been lost in shipping. Even though I am disappointed my order was lost, this is great customer service and I will continue to shop at Amazon since they are so responsive to resolving customer issues. I had an issue with an order on Buy.com and they NEVER responded to my customer service inquiry. This made me realize even more how much better Amazon is then some of their competitors. "I have made several purchases with Amazon and have always had great service and prompt shipping.
One time, there was a glitch in their system (in my favor) on the price of a product that was for some reason doubling a discount ($25 off twice). However, n my confirmation email, at the top it said the grand total was $254.99, which was the
total shown to me when I purchased the product on Amazon.com, but was billed 279.99 as the total in the body of the email. I called customer service and they asked me to copy and paste the email to them and they immediately credited my $25 back.

"I used to be skeptical about ordering from amazon because once I ordered an item from them and they sent me someone elses order of lesser value, but they refunded me my money and gave me return shipping labels so I decided to give them another shot.
Since then I have made many orders which have all been satisfactory and usually offer lower prices then their competitors. I even upgraded my account to Amazon Prime so now I get 2 day shipping on most of my orders for free.
The Order I am writing a review for was placed on 12/19/2008 (Friday) while they had the promo for blu-rays at 50% off I decided to purchase 3 blu-rays which were shipped on the same day that I placed the order and then I received them in my house on Monday afternoon.

"I have been shopping at Amazon for a few years with no problems. This time I ordered a Canon camera, a lens, and a CF card on Dec 18. Received the camera and lens 7 pm Dec 19 with free shipping! The CF card was shipped from a different vendor and arrived on Dec 22. Everything is in great condition. The time taken was totally reasonable since I did not express it.
