"After careful deliberation a pair of frames were decided on. Lenses, antiglare, and transition color picked. When I picked up the glasses they were totally tinted and make perfect sunglasses. Was told that for an additional $65 they could fix the mistake. The whole cost of this pair of glasses came out of pocket even though they just started excepting my vision coverage provider. NEVER AGAIN will I be so gullable as to believe 2 for $69 is more than a line of bull."
"I went to the Clackamas Or the Manager there named Donna helped us . We had to wait for our new card so when I called her today I playfully asked for a discount and Donna blew up me!!!! I will never stop foot In this company again and if I were you I would not either thier glasses will be $400 to $500 before you know it and they will not discount at all and you will be asked to go elsewhere should you asked for one. Great Customer service Donna (Not) good luck to you and I would hope you don't treat all customers like me!!!!"
"I needed glasses to use for computer glasses. This was a cheap way of doing it. I received 2 pair for $69 and that is what it cost. The optometrist was very professional and helped with my request for a vision test for my glasses for an irregular distance of 48 inches. The problem with the place is there seems to be an ample amount of employees but they do not work very fast if they are working at all. When I picked up my glasses the person who was supposed to be fitting my glasses just handed me my glasses and dismissed me. I asked her if she was going to fit them for me and she said she could if I wanted. I tried them on and they were all out of wack so I showed her and she went and heated them up and bent the bows a little bit and then started putting them back in their cases. I had to take them again and try them on and told her the nose pieces were too loose. so she bent the bows again. All in all it was the worst fitting I have ever had and they still do not fit right. I went in a couple days latter because they did not give me a copy of my prescription. The person at the front desk took my name then told me to wait in the waiting area. She did some things on the computer, I figured she was getting my prescription printed out. Then she got up and came to the back to compare her nails with a girl friend who came by. I sat there for 15 minutes while she chatted and played around. since I was busy I got up and left."
"Associate Jacob worked out bill 2 ways to get the best value for me which included a 2nd pair 1/2 price, and free eye exam. Really appreciated! When picking up I had problems seeing out of 1 pair and manger Jalena and eye DR determined I could be one of the very few that couldn't use poly carbinate lens and they reordered standard lenes which solved the problem. After reading many negitive reviews I was VERY happy with the outcome and recommened America's Best highly in the RochesterNY market."
"I went in for an exam that I made an appointment for the eye doctor I got the exam from was very fast didn't really say a whole lot I came out and right away was greeted by young lady I think she was a manager she was going to assist me with my glasse. she looked over to me and asked how can I help you todayI talked to her about the promotion of the $69 she looked at my prescription and explains how the $69 work my prescription was not single vision it was actually bifocals they had different promotions for bifocals obviously I know as long as I've worn bifocals it's never been $69 for two pair it does not say anywhere that its only for single vision I just assumed when she went over everything she was so detailed about the prices of the frames and the prices of the lenses what kind of prescription I had and whatwas recommended from the optometrist she looked over my glasses to see what I'm used to wearing gave me different options and allowed me to decide. with absolutely no pressure of her trying to push a high Sale on me she really seemed like she cared.. more than the doctor absolutely loved her service I did buy glasses from her in a reasonable price. sure it wasn't $69I was reading some of the reviews that has been written on herenot all prescriptions are the same people have to understand so not everybody fits in that category of $69 but if you do good for you they got a hell of a deal but I still got a good deal considering my prescription I got great service from the young lady that helped me I'm not too sure I'm fond of the doctor but will go back because of the great service I received."
"Exam was rushed; took about 3 minutes. Took about 2 weeks to get the eyeglasses (single vision, plastic frame). After a few days, I notice one of the frames has defection (has crack, metal part holding the template is protruding). Went back to the store and asked for a replacement or repair. A senior staff told me no can do. I would highly not recommend America's Best."
"The most expensive glasses I have ever purchased. Two pair for $69.95 is a lot of bull. It cost me over $270 for two pair of no-line bifocals. Sears is a much better deal. I can get two pair for $99, and that is where I will go for my future eyeglass needs."
"I went in for a routine eye exam and new glasses. Again they tried to sell me two pair of the most expensive bifocals. I fended off the sales efforts, but decided to treat myself to the lighter polycarbonate lenses. My glasses arrives two weeks later and I went in for the fitting. I could focus on nothing past 10 inches away. This bothered me as I told them that I needed a medium field lens, not just close. I called and they suggested that I try them for a couple of weeks which I did (the person I saw when I went back thought it was strange that I didn't come back immediately). I decided that I would keep one pair for closeup and reading, and have them change the other for a medium-distance lense. I took the second pair back and they said that they would change it, but it would "use up" the extra protection. I reluctantly agreed and left. After 2.5 weeks of no word (supposed to be 10 days max) I called and the rude girl had no idea but would call me back - didn't. The next day I called and asked for the manager and he had no idea but would call me back - didn't. The NEXT day I called him and he still didn't know, but would call me back. I told him that it would be a very good idea to actually call me back as he said he would. He did but he still had no idea where my glasses were. The day after that he found my glasses, probably stuck in a drawer somewhere, and it was another ten days before I actually got a call that they were there. All in all it was a little over a month for the second pair. No apologies, not a word from anyone when I went in to pick them up and I was steamed. If I treated my customer that way you know that I would NOT have customers. The cheap glasses were well over $300 so they weren't that cheap. Next time I think I'll go to a real optometrist. These guys are definitely the fast-food store of eyeglasses. "
