"Sigh... sadly, I have to move on from AmericanFrame as a main supplier. They did not seem concerned when I politely told them that I was going to have to find a more reliable frame source. (Edit: I did just get an email from them saying that they appreciate my business.) I was under the impression that they make all parts of the frames themselves. They apparently do not and their manufacturers are not reliable. (Their words)
I was emailed and told that my order was on backorder. Her exact words were: " I show that you have an order for Frame AF110, AAS and MTBS that went into Backorder"
I called to confirm about it being on backorder since it didn't list it as being on backorder on the site. The woman on the phone told me that it is not on backorder and that my order will go through as scheduled. I kept asking why she would say it's on backorder and she kept talking about how their website was having problems processing orders.... I'm not sure what that has to do with the frame being out of stock.
In the two months that I have been using them as a frame source, I have purchased 20 frames from them. The frames I use have been out of stock twice for weeks and in the most recent case, more than a month. I have backup frames that I order when the others are out of stock. To hear that my backup frame was on back order left me feeling frustrated and annoyed. When I called about my issues, she told me I should order several at a time when they are in stock. That is not a suitable solution for me as I order 2 different frames in 2 different sizes. It's way too much stock for me to hold onto. Especially when some of their frames can literally be out of stocks for months. I'm just an independent artist working out of my home. I don't have that kind of space.
Everyone has been really nice and the customer service has been quick to respond but.. they are disorganized and not a reliable frame source. Fine if you are trying to order a frame for your house every once in a while. Not suitable or reliable if you are trying to run a business.
Their frame quality and prices are good as well as their shipping cost and packaging. Their customer service has always been satisfactory. I just wish they could keep their frames in stock.

Unfortunately, when the frames are out of stock for over a month, you are losing business. It's in your best interest to find manufacturers that will do their best to meet your needs. I don't know. Maybe these manufacturers are meeting your expectations. I'm sure you work with all kinds of companies, but I don't know how to make American Frame work for my needs/expectations. "
