"I ordered three pairs of hosiery from American Intimates Americanintimates.com 1109 McDonald Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11230 on September 11th and received a "Welcome" email and a confirmation email regarding my order. After approxiamtely four business days I checked my "account" as a hold had been placed on my bank account for the purchase amount and it was "Pending Address Verification". I emailed the company on 9/15/10 to ask for an update and no response. I emailed them again on 9/17/10. No response. I emailed them on 9/20/10. No response. On 9/20/10 I also attempted to contact them via telephone based on the information provided on their website. You never get connected to a live person there and when I selected the electronic option to leave a message - I was informed that the mailbox was full. On 9/21/10 I filed a complaint with the NY BBB The BBB on my behalf attempted to contact Amercian Intimates twice in writing and did not receive a response. As a result...just two weeks ago they had to close the complaint. Just to be safe because this company is VERY VERY SHADY...I called the bank, they released the hold after I provided proof of attempted contact and my BBB complaint, they released the hold and I cancelled my card number and they reissued a new one! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AMERICAN INTIMATES. Had I done my homework and read the complaints and seen this company has been pulling this since at least 2008!!!! WOW.

"I ordered 5 bras from this company on June 12. I received a confirmation that my order was being processed. To this date, I have not received the merchandise. I have called numerous times and either gotten a busy signal or a message to leave a message but then it says that the memory is full. I also e-mailed the customer service department and requested that they please reply--no response. When I ordered, I checked and they were a Veri-Check secure site and I believed they were an honest business. I now believe they are a fraud. Customers should be aware that they take your information and do not follow through with the merchandise. Do not order from this company!!!"
"I ordered some merchandise from this company but I never received the item. Well it turns out that they never processed the order so I was not charged. I tried calling them but they take the phone off the hook during business hours and hang it up when the day is over. I have sent emails and have gotten no response. When I look up my order online, it says that it is being processed. I received no communication from them to inform me that the order is not complete. I would be leary of ordering anything from this company because of they way they do business. If anyone still has an order out there and you bought it through Pay Pal, you should call them and have them investigate even if your order is over 45 days. They have to refund your money if you didn't receive your item(s). The Pay Pal number is 1-***-***-****. You also need a secure web pin and you must log on to your paypal account to get this. Specifically, the company keeps the website up and running, takes the orders, the automated system takes payments and sends confirmation, but they don't ever send out any merchandise."

"BEWARE of this company. I placed an order 1 month ago and still have no product. I have sent 4 e-mails and attempted to call but the in box is full on the answering machine. Their customer service department is non existent. I got one answer by e-mail stating the order was "in process." I feel a month is more then enough time to fill an order of 4 bras that were suppose to be in stock. I should have researched this company further before I placed an order.
