"Order was shipped to the wrong address. Now some stranger has my medical and contact info. After getting hung up on many times, I was told a replacement would be shipped. Did a charge back with the credit card company and got my money back."
"In April 2020, I ordered an AMI dog tag. It never arrived and I received a refund through my credit card. Despite this, I placed another dog tag order in May 2020 and was notified it should arrive May 15, but on May 28 it's still not here. When the second order was 12 days overdue (May 26), I emailed AMI to complain they failed to deliver to me TWICE. No reply yet from AMI. Oops, as I was writing this, an email from AMI arrived in which they claim postal service delays. AMI is now asking me to wait until June 1 and if still undelivered to contact them again. Complete bunk.
I had to assign 1 star to initiate this review...that's one star too many...should be zero stars!"
"Unfortunately have had a HORRIBLE experience in ordering from American Medical IDs. I ordered an ID bracelet on April 23 and paid extra for rush ordering. I still today (May 7th) am waiting on the bracelet to arrive. I called on the 5th of May and talked to an associate that explained to me that the bracelet was sent off but must have been lost somewhere in the mailing process and it would be the USPS issue not theirs. She assured me that another bracelet would be made and sent out and she would send me a tracking number later that night that never happened. I called again today May 7th to find that another bracelet has been sent out but no follow through on getting a tracking number as I was told. I would NOT recommend ordering from American Medical ID again. If you do order do NOT pay the extra for rush shipping as it does not make a difference. I will do a follow up review on the products quality IF I ever receive the bracelet."
"Be sure you read every little letter when ordering from American Medical ID. I made the mistake of ordering theBracelet with the USB device which of course would be protected from water. Nope. It’s a useless device
If you are active and swim, sail or even sweat! If you live a sedentary life go for it.
When I tried to exchange it they said didn’t you go through the tabs while ordering? What? I looked at the description but that was NOT enough. Exchange was not possible. I’d go elsewhere.
Best of luck. "
"I ordered my husbands Medical ID necklace today. Customer Service was great! Thank you Thereasa for all your help. Have a Blessed Day!"
"Over 3 weeks, still no product. Emails with the company keep changing delivery dates. Sent First Class mail, no tracking. Definately not a place to spend your money. I add a photo, if I had something to take a picture of. Read the other reviews. I purchased through Amazon Pay, so hopefully Amazon will get the refund.
I ordered two necklace IDs and one wallet ID for $85.00. Other customers provided details the American Medical ID product was substandard, but they received theirs.
My expectation is that the delivery timeframe should be communicated and shipping details for something as small as 2 necklace ID and a paper wallet ID should be provided and no longer than 5-7 business days. The product price was not considerably less expensive than other companies."
"Love how someone will have access to my information when i can not speak for me blacking out from one of my seizure. Plus able to know what medinices i take. "
"Ordered an engraved dog tag with 27" chain. They shipped a 24" chain. I called and they shipped a 27" chain only. I was told i could go to a jewely and have them install it and I had to pay for the repair.
Never again. Customer service was useless."
"I have ordered from them several times (several different types of necklaces and a bracelet), and been satisfied. This latest time (July 2015), I ordered a completely identical necklace to one that I'd had for years (merely to note a change of phone number), and the quality level was abhorrent.
I don't know if I would have been as aware if I didn't have the first one to compare it to, but I am HUGELY disappointed with what they sent me. I asked, and they've apparently changed manufacturers. A cheaper route for them, I presume, but the price has increased on our side on top of that.
They also now engrave an irritating med-id.com on the actual id itself, which I find very irritating. (This ID is for my well being, not your advertising.) I called customer service to note that none of their examples show the .com banner, so it was unexpected engraving. While they were polite, they didn't really have an answer (all precious metals must have a .com engraving? erm, no...) and refused any kind of refund. I was a repeat buyer for years, but I will never return.
I would advise all others to find a different route.Down-grading the quality to that extent is so frustrating."
"You get what you pay for. Their ID's are cheaper than the ones from MedicAlert, but they feel cheap too. Low quality materials and engraving."
