"I placed an order six months ago and my American Express was immediately charged for the order, but I never received the merchandise. I have tried every way I know to contact the company. I have made many phone calls where all but one goes nowhere. I did get an answering machine on one, but never received a call back. Have sent emails and left messages at their web site, but no response. I tried to start an inquiry through American Express, but it had been more than sixty days since I placed the order, so no help there. I had placed many orders with them in the past, so I thought they were a reputable company. They still have a web site, but I'm convinced it is a scam and don't understand how they can continue to collect the money without providing the merchandise. Stay away from American Nutrition."
"This company appears to be a SCAM. Their 800# doesn't work. No answer to my emails. I ordered on 3/27/11. They processed my credit card and send me an order confirmation. It's now 5/6/11 with no response, thus initiated a dispute with the credit card company.

"I've been ordering from this company for a number of years, and I've always been happy with their prices and the quality of their supplements. Never had a problem until recently. I placed an order on April 14, they debited my account and sent me a confirmation the very next day, but now it is May 5 and I've not received my order. I have called both their customer service number and their business number. Each time I've called, the line picks up, is quiet for about 20 seconds, then automatically hangs up. I've sent them 2 emails and tried leaving a message on their web page help line. I requested both a delivery and a read receipt for my last email message. It was delivered, but has not been read. From reading the rest of these posts, I suspect that the company went out of business earlier this year but still continues to accept money for orders. I'm going to look elsewhere for good prices on the supplements I use. I just checked my bank account and realized that although the charge showed up as pending right away, it never did clear so I was not charged. Phew! Still, I'm going to start shopping with a different company."

"I ordered a nootropic - Aniracetam bulk powder - off their website (USPS Priority Mail 2-3 day shipping) on 2/22/2011 - got an email from "****@****" on 2/23/2011 that the package was going to be shipping that day. There was no tracking number in the e-mail.
Given the Priority Mail shipping method I selected (Priority Mail ships in 2-3 days) , I would have expected the package on the 25th at the latest.
It is now 3/4/2011 - 9 US Mail days later, and I have not received the package.
I called their main number 2 to 3 times throughout this period of time. They did not answer the phone on any of these calls. I left a detailed message with a callback number on the 2nd / 3rd try but have not heard anything back from them.
I have also e-mailed ****@**** and ****@**** 5 times in this time period and never got a response back from either address.
I took a risk ordering this product given the other negative review for VirtuVites on ripoffreport.com. Don't take the same risk.
I have filed a claim with my bank to get my money back."

Finally I reached a representative and she said that my order was backordered until March. Why didn't they put out of stock in cart instead of available in cart?
