"Prompt shipment but wrong parts. I ordered StarTech SNT127A mobile racks which are made of metal. Without checking with me they shipped Lian Li plastic mobile racks which are not compatible with my other Startech products, Wrote feedback requesting information, no response as yet, so have now requested an RMA number. A quick check would have clarified this before shippment. I am a very dissappointed customer (probably ex customer). If I receive an RMA number, I can ship these back being out time, energy, and shipping both ways, but they will make a small profit on the shipping and HANDLING charges. Bad Business. "

"Upon receipt of the ETX-90PE telescope, I set it up with great expectation, but to my disappointment I could see nothing through it. I immediately contacted american-computers the next day. They simply said it was new when they sold it to me and it was too bad it didn't work. We had World War III over the internet even up to today. After a few days they finally said I could return it for a restocking fee of 20%. Can you believe that, it's absurd, everyone else gives a 30 day free return. I was apalled that they would restock a defective item, were they going to sell it again. I told them to send my perfectly good money back and I would only charge a 20% rebanking fee. Now I get emails saying they want to be 100% satisfying but never suggested they would handle the problem. In the last emails they are claiming this was an auction. It was not an auction and I paid them the price they were asking. I just checked the website in ebay and they are still selling a new telescope at one price, no bidding possible. They still haven't figured out that lying gets them nowhere. I want nothing more to do with them, ever. I called Meade and I will take the telescope to the Meade factory in Irvine, CA next week. To the extent I can warn other purchasers about dealing with american-computers I would. The transaction with them has been unsatisfactory in the extreme. They should not be in business. The one thing they are good at is insisting on getting your money instantly through PayPal and then buyer-be-ware."

Very fast and fair shipping-excellent packaging. Products are exactly as ordered. Service department will go the extra mile to help with any questions. return policy is probably just as good but can't say for shure I have never had to return anything. If you're lucky enough to get the 'perfect' machine (with absolutely no problems), then you'll be ok. If you have to interact with this company for any reason, then GOOD LUCK. The best way to describe their customer service is: You bought it, so you fix it, so F' Off.
I ordered a laptop a month ago. I just recently go around to setting it up for work. The CD that was included with the laptop didn't contain all the drivers necessary for setup. WTF? I only figured this out after trying to re-install a bunch of crap off the CD (thinking maybe I didn't install something correctly). After wasting several hours, I sent them an email, asking about the drivers. They told me to find them myself on the manufacturers website. GREAT THANKS FOR THE HELP A.S.S HOLES! So after FINALLY figuring out which drivers I needed. I got everything loaded.
Next thing I notice is my laptop is wobbly. I turn it over and its missing some of the rubber parts from the bottom. I search through all the boxes to see if they didn't come off, but nothing was found. I sent them another email asking if they could send me the rubber pieces to stabalize my laptop. In a nutshell, they told me it was my problem, and I should goto Radio Shack. OH MY GOD! I asked again, and they told me to basically get lost, since it was not their problem.
Again, if you are NOT LUCKY (10-20% chance) and get a machine that has ANY MINOR issues (God Help anyone with real problesm), then your basically screwed.
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. IF YOU READ THIS, PLEASE CONSIDER GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE."
