"Amuras.com sells electronics and office supplies at very low prices. Their website is functional and I had no problem placing my order for a laptop computer. Customer service did inexplicably insist on calling my phone to verify my order before they would ship the product. I paid for upgraded shipping and my prodouct arrived very quickly.

Unfortunately the product was not the one advertised on the website. The computer I received had the same model number as the one I ordered but the processor was slower, the HDD and memory was smaller, and the optical drive was not blu-ray.

I contacted their customer service department and explained the problem. They always responded promptly, professionally, but very curtly. I asked for a replacement with the specifications I ordered. It took a week of exchanging emails and dozens of photos of the product I was sent before they issued an RMA number. I promptly sent the computer away expecting the replacement quickly. When the replacement had not arrived after a week, I contacted the RMA center I shipped the PC to and they told me that I would not be getting a replacement, only a refund.

So three weeks after ordering and anticipating my new PC I'm left with nothing but disappointment. What frustrates me the most is that I missed an opportunity to buy a very similar computer at a much lower price from one of those "1 deal a day" websites because I had been expecting to get the computer I ordered. Meanwhile, I still don't even have the refunded money yet.

In all fairness, it is not entirely Amuras.com's fault that I was sent an incorrect product. I am under the impression that they did not send me the product from another service center that they are not directly affiliated with and were themselves mislead as to the characteristics of the product that was listed in stock. It still reflects badly on them for having an ignorant supply chain.

The biggest problem I have is their beating around the bush issuing me an RMA and failing to inform me that I would not be getting the computer I ordered.

Extremely disappointed.
