"I have been shopping at Animecastle.com for almost 10 years now and have enjoyed every moment I have spent looking at what the store offers.
The store simply rocks in terms of the wide selection of anime-related items it has, the low prices, discounts, the offers and vouchers, and the services it provides.
The store not only sells anime-related items but also gives us, the buyers, the chance to Trade-in the items that we have previously bought and use the amount to buy new items.
To conclude, I am really grateful to the person who has launched Animecastle.com and to all the people making it possible to us outside the US to receive and enjoy anime-related stuff.

"I've shopped at Anime Castle many times, and they are one of my favorite stores for purchasing manga and anime. When they say something is in stock, it is. They ship promptly, and package the items well. I've never received an incorrect or damaged order from them, and I've placed close to 100 orders.
They almost always send out coupons at the end of the month, so on top of their already low prices and decently-priced shipping I spend less than I might have to. I also like their newsletters, which keep me up to date on what's available.
Now, drawbacks. There are two. They tend to get books and DVDs from some publishers later than other places on the internet that charge more. They're about the same as Amazon in terms of timing. Other books, from TokyoPop for instance, come on the day of release. I think the publishers are just lax sending them things.
The other drawback is slight. You can't adjust your order online once it's made. You need to email them to change it. They always respond promptly and take care of things, but it's an extra step.
Overall, I'd give them a 9/10. They're the store I go to first to look for anime / manga / related merchandise."

I used the free shipping for spending $65 or more. The restrictions originally did not apply to my products, but they claimed it did.
The policy did not state anywhere that odd sized items did not qualify as part of the $65 purchase (unless you don't understand English). It only stated preorder and backorder items did not qualify.
I had to write 3-4 emails to explain to them. They didn't seem to read what I was saying or they were too stubborn to believe they were wrong.
In the end, I had them change their wording so that odd sized items do not qualify anymore (or in their case, it never did). I did not want other people that actually read restrictions to get tricked like I did. And odd sized items are pretty much half or more of their site. So that really does not make sense.
My odd sized item, which was a figure, would be $9.50 to ship alone according to their site. I had some really small filler items that would fit with the figure in a regular box very easily.
They wanted to charge me $13 for shipping, but instead said they only charged $11.50. That is still way too high though.
They also did not ask if I agreed to the shipping charge or ask if I wanted to edit my order which is what I was most upset about. I would have canceled my filler items and would pay less shipping. They just charged me instead.
Also, paying that much for shipping, you would think the item is large. It was not very large.
You would think at least the items would be safe and secure. The box of my figure was damaged. Luckily, the figure was not. However, I like to keep the boxes in good condition, especially if I need to give it as a gift.
Not to discredit them though.
I did receive my products in a week from when I placed my order.
I also received the customer service emails in a timely fashion. Though they seemed a bit rude and did not really read what I wrote, they still took the time to answer and change their policy which is a plus."
